I usually pop one of these in my American Spirit back up tin cans and it keeps the tobacco hydrated. Definitely does the trick especially with lower end tobacco if you go that route that dries out pretty much right after you open it. If you're rolling your own cigarettes biy these it will keep the tobacco from turning into sawdust. You only need one even for big bags, so these will last you quite a while I know they seem pricey.

They don't last very long, but keep things fresh for a short amount of time.
