These lights work exactly as described. I set one on the window sill in the upstairs hallway and the other in the window sill in the bathroom to help light my way in the middle of the night. We were able to rotate the unit so that the motion doesn't pick up activity in the bedroom area and we tilted the lamp part completely upright so that it shines on the ceiling and not in my eye as I walk by. It stays on just long enough to light our way to/from the bathroom - perfect. The light is bright with fresh batteries - so it is nice you can shift the direction of the lamp. As the batteries die, the light will naturally dim. With all the false alarms we have, I imagine we'll go through batteries fast.The motion must work from heat activation (I haven't found this stated in any product description). I've noticed it turns on in the middle of the night when there is no movement at all. Best I can tell it senses a change in temperature when the heat turns on. We have radiator heat - not forced heat...so the change isn't dramatic. It is very disturbing when you are trying to get to sleep and the motion light triggers on in the outside hallway. We did test the motion sensor - it doesn't pick up anything in the bedroom and we shut the bedroom door to be sure. Even with the door shut, I noticed the light through the cracks of the door come on several times during the night. I've tried moving it to several areas to avoid the false alarms, but no spot seems to be good.Not sure if we'll be able to tolerate all the false alarms...still working with it. If my theory is correct, we shouldn't have as many false alarms in spring/summer when the heat isn't running.

The lights are much larger than the dimensions that are listed in the discription and they are much taller than they appear in their picture.I needed them to fit in a cabinet so i had to mail them back as their actual dimensions were more like 4 5/8" x 4 1/4" x 5"they sick out pretty far from what ever surface they are mounted to + there is a mounting plate that bumps them out another 1/4" further so the mounted height is actually more like 5 1/4" .they were not all that bright and much more directional lighting than it showed in the pictures on the box.the sensors did ok but were also not as wide of a detection area as the description lead me to believe they would be.they do have some cool features tho like the fact that u can adjust the times they stay on and the brightness a bit.also the head does twist and swivel quite a bit.i was expecting them to be much brighter for the large size of the housings and all the little LED's in them.however, if u need something to mount in a closet or up high somewhere they r a decent bang for the buck compaired to some i have seen as they do come w/ all the batteries and look fairly well built.

This Wireless Motion Sensor Light is great! It's head swivels all over the place: side to side, up/down, around!, very wide range of head motion, not like some other lights that only tilt a small bit. I can mount it so the sensor is pointing one way (down the sidewalk) and then swivel the light part around to where I need it at the door. Comes with Duracell name brand batteries, that's a plus. It's designed for dark areas best, I use it in an area that gets some reflected daylight and light from distant overhead lamps so it doesn't come on when those are on but I still want light by the door. I can trick the light sensor but I wish it had a switch to turn off that function, I just need it to detect motion. It's shortest timer is 60sec, wish it had a 30sec setting. But, overall, this is the best battery operated sensor light I've found yet!

These look nice and install easily but the first one I installed turned on and off all the time even without any motion. The lightbulbs burned out quickly. The second one was installed in the same place because I really need additional light in that part of the hallway to light up the closet when I need to access it, and initially it worked fine and as expected. However, within a week it too started going into the on/off cycle all the time for no reason and the bulbs burned out on that one, too. So both lights lasted about 2 weeks each.

I'm using these lights in a closet, and they work great. It's nice to have the batteries included.One less thing to buy. If you buy them and want to test them. The sensor is more sensitive in the dark. So if you try to use the in a bright room they my not turn on . Don't be discouraged. Move them in a darker space and you'll see the motion detector will work much better. The heads swivel which is very useful. It makes it easier to mount them , because you don't have to be perfect. After they are in you can adjust them as necessary.

Needed a motion light for my coat closet (tired of fumbling for coats and shoes in the dark!). These we exactly what I needed. Just stuck them to the wall with 3m adhesives strips. Now every time I open the door- light! I like how they pivot for the direction you need the light. I was a little leery about getting these because of the cost, but the quality is good. They seem like they will last for a long time.

I bought a 2-pack of a very similar product, also made (in China) by Capstone. The light is very bright and has limited adjustability. Only real downside is that the motion sensor absolutely does not work. I tried it in a completely darkened room, both with and without my thumb over the light sensor, to no avail.

I recently purchased this product to fill a need of lighting an area without power I had a problem with one light and called the company and they replaced it without any hassle. I am very satisfied with this light and the company's responce to my concern
