This is just what I need to monitor the temperature of the guest room. It was very easy to set up. The user's manual is so tiny. You need a magnifying glass to read it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the display has no backlight. You cannot read the display without sufficient light in the room. Just have to rely on the phone app. Also, It only comes with a USB-C cable, you have to supply your own USB brick to supply power to the unit.

Love these. Do what it says on the box. We have 30+ of them across multiple buildings. Had them since 2021 I think - never had a failure. They link up to Smart Life easily and can be automated to do whatever you want. We have them in roofs, crawlspaces, every room of the house.

I asked for and got one for Christmas. I set it up and it worked perfectly, including Alexa providing temperature or humidity when asked. I immediately ordered a second one. When I set it up it would only provide temperature via Alexa stating that humidity is not supported. I returned it and got another. I set it up and it responds with temperature, but says humidity is not supported yet. I'll keep the second one although it doesn't function as advertised, nor is it what I was expecting. My goal is to be able to ask Alexa for information at night with the lights out and hear the results.I am not sure why Amazon ships with a Lithium Ion label on the box. Clearly there is NO battery in this device. When unplugged, the display is off. When power is returned, it connects to the internet to get time and provide temperature information via Alexa, except the first one which also provides humidity information via Alexa.It should be noted that you must have the USB power adapter. It ships with the necessary USB cable, but not a power adapter. These are easily available on Amazon.

Often will not reconnect to internet. Integration with company's own software fails more than it succeeds. Mine is programmed to switch a heater off and on based on the indoor temp. Over the course of a few weeks, the function works about 1% of the time. Also, as others have noted, the display is difficult to read. And when used with Google Home software, the temp is shown in Celsius with no option in Google Home to switch to Fahrenheit. In summary, it's a cheaply made toy and not the first disappointment I've had from the company.

We wanted a WiFi thermometer to keep track of our rv temperature to insure the pipes and tanks don’t freeze. These work of a usb brick . They replace battery powered units which worked well but the battery life was short. This is much more convenient. They are smaller than they look but are a great size for an tv.

I used Smart Life app to run this. It turns on a wall plug at 34% humidity to fire up a humidifier, and turns it off at 38%. It sends signals almost instantly, unlike some that send a signal every hour.Minus one star because the humidity it shows is 7% higher when compared next to my calibrated hygrometer. So you have to compensate for that when setting it up.
