Bad product. Initially
Bad product.Initially, after reading reviews I thought this could be a neat DIY to save a few dollars. I have built everything from RC cars to 3D printers, so this should have been nothing. When the package arrived, it was not in any type of container, only loosely wrapped up in a red piece of plastic and stuffed in a manila folder. I took note that the electrical component enclosure was distorted and did not house the electrical components properly, it would not even snap shut. The PCB (from what I could see of it) was as expected cheap, and slathered in some terrible polymer conformal coating with no more care than candle wax on a hairy chest. The wonderful people at 'wherever' they assembled this product did the liberty of attaching the eyelets for me, and after returning to the package, I rediscovered the tiny nut and bolt stuck to the adhesive strip within the package. The tin banding for the coronal discharge canister felt as though it had some type of granular substance inside it. As that this is my first experience with an ozone generator DIY I don't recognize this as a possible red flag (I'll research this later). Let's move on. I went ahead and hooked up the eyelets to the terminals on the device per the image, as that this product included no instructions, no documentation of any sort. So, following my instinct I simply hooked up the eyelet terminals to the coronal discharge canister and the 120vac side to an old 2 prong plug with a amp fuse I use for this sort of thing. I hooked up my air pump to the canister and turned it on so that the air was running before the device was turned on. I began watching intently the bubbles I had coming out of a glass of water I had the end of the air hose smelling for the distinct odor of ozone. This was my check to make sure the device was working properly before I installed it in my application. It was only then I turned around to see the device had a steady stream of bluish smoke coming out of the unit, that I realized that something was wrong. I quickly unplugged everything, used a discharge probe to discharge any high voltage in the device, and went over my setup thoroughly to see if I did anything wrong. I'm completely certain at this point, that it was nothing that I had done incorrectly. Deciding to investigate, I pulled the housing off the electrical components (where I noticed the crappy coating job) which was easy because it didn't even snap shut, with the intent to diagnose where the device failed. Well, can't see anything because of that stupid protective coating. The only thing I can wonder is if the manufacturers got the wires crossed beneath the mystery of that abyssal goop they used to protect the components, or the device was faulty and the factory it was produced at have no internal mechanism of quality control. Either way, I'm going to pursue this company and attempt get my money back. Not because the $15 is worth my time, but because I'm that pissed off.In short, cheap product, cheap and dangerous. It is my opinion that 15kv is nothing to mess around with. I hesitantly purchased this product because of the high reviews, but I'm here to tell you, there's a reason it this device less than the shipping on other ozonators.Terrible! I'd give it less than half a star if I could. What's sad is that when I do return this it'll most definitely arrive in a better package than it was when it was shipped to me.

it works just fine!
it works just fine. Can't measure yield of ozone (O3), but odor is STRONG.No excessive heating occurred while pumping air from the device at 5-10 mL/sec for at least 15 min at room temperature.Planning to try it for disinfection of house air ducts: just to supply O3 by pumping air through the device to A/C filter compartment and alternating A/C fan on/off every few minutes until O3 odor appears in the house, then turn device and A/C fan off; wait 10-20 min to let O3 to react, then flush out O3 from the duct with A/C fan during 5-10 min. Something like that.(NB! if you wish to reproduce the experiment - please be aware that O3 is quite TOXIC. So keep all windows open and stay outside after treatment for at least 1 hour to allow complete evacuation of O3 from the dwelling. Also, be careful if you have plastic vent hoses installed in your house: O3 at high concentrations may induce unpleasant and irremovable odor in some plastics.)

Works surprisingly well - can fill a room with noticeable ozone odor in minutes.
Works great. I couldn't have made this myself for this cost. Overall, it puts out a fair amount of ozone. I'm thinking the connection to the cylinder should be tighter - the strap supplied is a bit too large- and it should also be grounded. Otherwise, I think the output can float. With voltage as high as it is safety and grounding should be considered.

Four Stars
Real good bang for the buck. You have to buy a pump. Bought a cheap aquarium pump.

Very happy with my purchase as it is
I've bought a few of these and they work so far. Very happy with my purchase as it is. I'm not sure if I'm hooking them up wrong or not,. but they do shock you a little if you touch the surface of the pipe thing. Lol

and the seller was pretty vague in addressing a replacement or even being that ...
Item came poorly packaged in pink bag, with missing screws and no instructions. The unit died after a couple hours of use, and the seller was pretty vague in addressing a replacement or even being that concerned about their junk product. You get what you pay for, be aware.

Works better than I could have expected!
Works very well. I would say it produces more Ozone than advertised. For the price you can't go wrong! This hooks up directly to 110 via the black and red leads.
