Perhaps the best 25GB Discs On The Market Today
I've been using JVC Taiyo Yuden discs for the past 2.5 years to organize and back up my data. They were the only real option for water proof discs. I recently tried out Taiyo's BD-Rs and was, as usual, also satisfied with the print quality. However, the price runs about $10-12 more than these PlexDiscs. And the sheer volume of discs I need to burn means it's just more cost effective to use Plex. But, the million dollar question is how's the quality here? Am I losing anything for the price paid? The answer is no. First two burns in Nero went swimmingly. No coasters yet, and I don't anticipate any. Printing art on these is pretty outstanding, and I'd probably say it's more impressive than the other brand. It's clear and sharp, colors pop (blacks look better), it's quick drying (basically instant), and just overall more visually appealing on first glance. For the cash, this is steal. Single layer, water proof BD-Rs for $1 each is madness. The only "downsides" are these do not ship via Prime, so it's going to be a bit of a wait. Also, Plex does not make these in dual layer 50GB discs. I own those as well and while the print quality is fine (it's matte instead of glossy), the surface is not waterproof and will be prone to smudges. Plex, if you're reading this -- please make these in 50GB and I'll literally throw my wallet at the computer monitor. All in all, the 25GB variety are a must-buy. Cheap price but a ton of value.

Excellent printing quality
They are absolutely water proof. I tried them on the faucet. No smudge at all. The printing side is almost as good as Verbatim aquaace or Taiyo yuden water shield. I think Plexdiscs have more ink absorbing power because I don't get ink spill or leakage at the inner or outer edges of the disc. Sometimes I get that problem with verbatim aquaace discs when the edges of the picture I am printing are too colorful. The burn quality is good. So far I have no coaster that I can attribute to the poor quality of these discs. Yes I get some coasters once in a while but so do I with verbatim aquaace. So I attribute the occasional failures to my burning software and my computer. I highly recommend them. This review applies to both plexdiscs glossy BD R 25gb and glossy DVD 4.7gb because I have both. I wish they made glossy DVD 8.5GB because there are no decent glossy dvd 8.5gb discs. I know about glossy MBI dvd 8.5gb and they will look second grade compared to glossy plexdiscs printing quality.

Very nice finish, succsessful burn rates
I've burned hundreds of discs from Verbatim, JVC and HP and using these discs I have similar results as the rest, minimal failure rate, maybe one out of 50. The glossy finish in my opinion is a big plus and if the artwork your printing on the label is of high quality and your printer is set to the proper settings you'll have a beautiful finished product. I've used Panasonic Blu-ray BDXL burners exclusively and if I get a 'coaster' it is always due to an error on my part. Also burning at a lower speed results in a better success rate, I always burn using ImgBurn at 2X without issue and keeping your burner clean is essential for minimal failure. The underside of the disc is a metallic looking finish and not the deep blue or gray as with the HP or Verbatim, a dead giveaway for a home made disc. I will continue to use these from now on unless they change the disc or double the price as some manufacturers have done in the past.

Great printable Blu-ray (if you burn slower)
I have an LG Blu-ray burner, BH12LS35. I attempted to burn a 44GB iso file at the rated 6X speed and it failed mid-way through the burn. I then attempted at 2X and it worked perfectly. For printing, I used a Canon TS8120 inkjet and I have to say that the results are impressive. The gloss gives it an amazing look... it is photo quality and looks professional.I placed a drop of water on the printed disc and although it did not bleed or smudge, it appeared to leave a permanent witness mark.I would avoid trying to burn at 6X... If I get brave, I will try one at 4X. However, 2X worked perfectly for me. I will need to go through more to determine if any are rejected at the 2X speeds. For now, I recommend these discs... especially if you are going to print on them.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! ! ! ! NO coasters!
GREAT glossy surface that shows colors brilliantly and sharply.I have not had any problems burning these discs; every disc has burned perfectly. I burned at 2x to be conservative, and each disc was completely verified. I use the Asus 16x -BW-16D1HT Internal Blu-ray Burner, which I've found to be perfectly efficient at all times.I highly recommend the PlexDisc Glossy Blu Ray 25gb Discs to anyone who's looking for this kind of media. I used their glossy DVD and glossy CD discs as well, and was equally satisfied.

Packing Issue to an excellent product
***Update to previous review***My next order of this item after my written review, came packaged with care and not a spindle broken. I was pleased that the issue had been addressed. Unfortunately the following orders were then packaged so sloppily without the needed padding that almost all of the spindles I ordered were broken. I am attaching a picture of the one that I just used - completely broken! I had to go through each disk and blow off tiny bits of black broken plastic - don't want them to jam my printer. These are great disks! BUT the packaging of them is in major need of attention.Previous Review: Our church has been using these disks with our Epson PP-100AP printer for a couple of years. They do a great job! No smudging nor smearing! The print quality is Super! I never run into a disk that will not write! So I have NO complaints on the disks themselves! I highly recommend them. The last two boxes (I order 10 at a time) have been packed with very little padding. Because of this lack of padding 1 or 2 spindles are broken in each box by the time I receive them. I always have to make sure that little pieces of plastic from the broken spindles are not stuck to the stack that I place into the printer - I don't want it to interrupt the printing or damage the printer in any way. This is a packing issue NOT a product issue!
