Better than they say
ORIGINAL REVIEW (12-15-23): I wanted to casually get into collecting vinyl records, especially to play for family around Christmastime. I had a friend who recommended me one of these, and against my better judgement, I sought out other opinions online. It's insane how the vocal record vinyl community online is so hostile to these things. There's (disproven) claims about how it'll damage the records you play, claims that they're poorly built (no issues here), and lots of claims about the sound quality being tinny (again, not true). This thing (I got the red one) looks really nice and fits perfectly on a stand I built. The records play perfectly, the sound quality is really good considering the price. Maybe I have weird ears or something but I'm not hearing any tinny audio. I'm really glad I went with this purchase; it's gonna make Christmas this year feel really cozy! Don't listen to the gatekeepy pompous guys telling you how dangerous and bad these things are for your records. The whole "they'll damage your records!" thing is a disproven lie. Just go for it. You won't be disappointed! EDIT (9-22-24): Figured I'd do a little update here. There's been no issues with this player after nearly a year of daily use. Only thing I did was swap the needle out with a diamond tipped one, which was dirt cheap and super easy to do. It was the center of attention for Christmas last year, and will provide cozy Christmas vibes again during this upcoming one. Once again, definitely worth the price! EDIT: (12-24-25) Quick update 'cause why not? Player is STILL working perfectly. Just used it again today for Christmas, and it's just as good as when I first bought it. It gets used year round too, so it's not like it only gets used once a year or anything like that. My family loves it; it's become an incredibly important part of our Christmas Eve get together, hearing the warm Christmastime tunes from it. Still incredibly happy with the purchase, and I still recommend it!

Alright record player, solid Bluetooth speaker
I bought this refurbished by the seller, which came out to be essentially like new. The sound quality on the phonograph is alright. It plays records in a lofi sound quality, but it's still perfectly fine listening to it. If you're into listening to your records in the highest quality possible, you already aren't looking to buy this. This product is aimed at people who simply want to have an inexpensive way to listen to records, or even to get into the hobby. The build quality is alright. I'm not taking it traveling, so I'm not to worried about it holding up to force. Mine was pretty tough to get to the insides for tinkering. I had to take a razor blade to split the seams enough to lift the wooden panel up. The tonearm on mine came down pretty fast, which threw me off since the same model I replaced with this had its tonearm take a comfortably slow lowering to records. I had to add Elmer's glue to the tonearm mechanism to get it to ease on the speed, and now it falls much softer. What really surprised me about this player was the Bluetooth functionality. It's an okay phonograph, but a surprisingly amazing sounding Bluetooth speaker. With the lid closed, I was shocked how good music sounded from its built in speakers. The speakers don't really do records justice, but with Spotify and YouTube connected to it through it from my phone, it's a full, high quality sound. The size of the entire case really helps give it that quality sound. When the lid is opened, it still sound fine, but not as good as it is closed. I paid around $20 for mine, and at that price I think it's fair. Don't pay much more for it though, you can get better players than this.

Fast, easy, quick setup! Colorful cases! Great sound!
Fast, easy, quick setup! Colorful cases! Great sound! Fantastic gift idea for someone with records and hasn't bothered buying a needling in 25 years. Some prior knowledge would be good, but the manual does a pretty good job how to get started. The little speakers work great, but the record player sounds even better on a 400-watt system!

DO NOT BUY THIS! SKIPPING IS TERRIBLE! PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE!
It makes me so mad to see all of these good reviews. I got this as a Christmas gift and was really looking forward to it. I didn't think about doing much research cuz all the reviews were great. Please do not let these good reviews fool you. This product is a scam! The stylus is damaging your records, the turn tables will be wobbly, and the records hang off the edge and I'm just now finding out that is not good or normal! If you don't believe me PLEASE do your research. A quick Google search will tell you everything I'm telling you, that's how I know. they try to cover it up as a "dirty stylus" When I found out the wobble of the table is what causes the skipping, I tried googling support and it redirected me to a Website where you have to pay for a membership just to chat with an "expert". Why would you pay for a membership to chat about "fixing" something that shouldn't have been faulty. Definitely going to try and return for a refund. The video shows a BRAND NEW Billie Eillish record and you can visible see the instability. Audio plays fine halfway through the song then skips most of it. These aren't the only songs that get skipped, it's the whole record. The web says it has to do with tone arm weight etc. I'm not an expert by any means but this is a waste of your money. If you're a music lover and skipping bothers you do not get this. It's not just one song it's every song.
