Devola electric heater .
This electric heater is very useful, it heats the room well and very quickly and, what is very important, it doesn't consume much, it's budget-friendly!!!!

Great heater
I do not like doing this but I am only giving it one star because of price. The heater is great so I am purchasing another one but not through Amazon or their seller. When I received the heater and opened packaging the manufacturer leaflets were offering the heater for £98.70 + 10% discount making the price £88.70 not the £119.99 I paid through Amazon to the seller.

Great heat output.
Having researched heaters for months and watching umpteen videos I decided to go for infrared for it's quick heat and feeling of sitting in the sun.On these counts this heater does the job perfectly. I have it set up to heat approximately 20 square metres of living space which in the cold months has it useable in about 5-10 minutes. The entire space takes a bit longer to fully heat up but it's far better than a 3 kw radiator that was being used before. The bit I didn't like is it's installation. It's weighty and so needs two people to safely install it. The lead is a bit on the short side which is inconvenient if you have a socket which is mounted on the far right of the unit. You could install it upside down though then you are left with a display which is the wrong way up. Again this could be easily engineered out. The brackets fix to wall without much fuss though its the the brackets that fix to the unit itself which were awkward, mostly as the bolts and wingnuts that secure it to the wall bracket are really fiddly. This needs some thought to make this seamless and I used heavy duty cable ties to secure the first two points in place which made the install of the next two bolts much easier. I then cut the cable ties out one by one, replacing each with a bolt and wingnut in turn. The app and connectivity were relatively simple to set up though note it's on a 2.4Ghz bandwidth only as far as wifi is concerned. It integrates in to Amazon Alexa well and can therefore be easily set up on a timer or turned on remotely using voice. The display is also not that bright and so if using it in a conservatory it might just make it easier to use the app to set the temperature.Other than these points, once it's installed it does what it needs to do very well.

Good so far
Updated to four stars so far. Seems to do a great job. It appears to me that it thinks the temperature in the room is higher than it is so in order to get it to warm the room I had to set a higher temperature but that was fine and easy to do with the remote and it's not constantly on so not wasting money. It's very different to conventional heating so don't expect it to immediately pump out a blast of heat when turning on. A nice warm feeling like the sun's warming you up. There's a slight difference in the brackets. I thought the wing bolts were unusable until I spotted I had tried the wrong bracket. Also some bolts for wall that I'd never used before but they do expand as you tighten the nut. Just be careful not to lose them in the wall by ensuring you put through bracket first and then the nut and washers on other side of bracket then push them in your drill holes, then tighten.

WOW what a beast!
Amazing heater. Someone says its not IR as it has no light emitted... that's not true. It is OR just a different wavelength than is visible. Gone from storage heaters to this beast and WOW what a difference! I have a whole 1 bedroom flat that was freezing on two storage heaters. Now this has heated the whole place all on its own. I will be adding a couple more lower power ones and keeping them all turned on eco mode /half power. Let them have an easy life. Install was simple, hooked up to WiFi so Alexa is controlling it.

Works so well
Just tried a temporary setup on top of my oil filled heater because it can take the heat the infrared heater gives as it gets very hot to touch really heats up the room well and the heat somehow stays in the room even after you switch it off and leave the door open but you have to angle it right for the heat no good in the direction being upward it has to point into the room,I decided not to wall mount it but set it up on a shelf on top of a couple of tea cups to disperse the heat from the bottom of unit so that the surface doesn't get hot, actually feels like a fire heater or sitting in the sun it's almost too good can get you really sweating at a high setting I bought the 1800 watt version, works so well had to buy another one for the living room installed it up high and every cold day is now a summer afternoon in my living room 🤣Edit. Moved the bedroom one up high on the wall for safety and efficiency and it works a lot better there now

Not "Infrared" as stated just an electric radiator
Heater isn't light based like the lamp ones most commonly seen, because of this it will need an enclosed space to heat up the area, would be great for a shed or the like but for use in a proper outdoors setting you'll have to be sat within a couple of inches to feel the benefit. On the plus side, ease of install and the remote operation (both infrared and wifi) are excellent.

Faulty product
After 9 months the heater stopped working - replacement was sent. Now 6 months later this has also broken (see photo). Devola state that as original purchase was more than 1 year ago - it is out of warranty therefore nothing they will do. Do not consider this to be fit for purpose.
