I am using this for connectivity to my wi-fi modem connected to my router as I would have to run 200+ feet of cat.5 cable otherwise. It fully supports both 2g and 5g as it states and gets great speed.I'm running at 125 mbs to 180 mbs. It was so easy to install it's not funny as long as you have a drive to run the driver disk your set in about 30 or so seconds (network setup is another 10 for me you know passwords lmao). The connection never seems to drop like some wifi cards do, its steady and strong with all 5 bars filled consistently. For the pittance that this costs its a great value, I saved about $500 in cat 5 cable for the cost of what 20-30 bucks. :) I recommend this product to anyone who needs an easy but reliable wifi solution.

This product acts as my pcs only way to get internet. Its super high speed and was super easy to install. Only problem is the software is run in the background while its plugged in and sometimes can cause your mouse cursor to lag/skip if you scroll over the invisible window. Simply unplugging and replugging it fixes the problem. Again really was easy to install and am glad i made my purchase

Got it to make my PC work with my wireless network without needing to buy an internal card. Installation is you plug it in and install the drivers from the mini-cd. After a couple minutes it was up and integrated into windows, so super easy to use. I have my wifi router right next to the computer, so can't speak for the range, but compared to a wired connection, no noticeable change in connection speed. The other day must have pumped about 10GB worth of video and audio through it back to back via internet with it being so responsive I had to check if it was still wired or wireless. It was wireless. At short range no difference observed for a 60mbps connection. I like that unlike an internal card with limited compatibility I can hook it into any machine with a USB port. Haven't had it for long yet, but so far it does exactly what I got it for to a high degree of excellence: remove the LAN wire from the PC without loss of connection speed so the printer can be a network resource that my other devices can print directly to. Works well, mission accomplished.

I bought this to replace one of those Rosewill adapters with the two rabbit ear antennas. The Rosewill is a good adapter but too big and heavy for use in my laptop--so heavy that it started to split apart from its own weight. I've glued it back together and am now using it in a desktop where it stays put. The body of this adapter is about the same size as the body of the Rosewill, but it is a much lighter adapter. When I first got it, I would have said that it was slightly weaker at receiving a signal from across the house than the Rosewill, but still a good compromise, and I was happy. Since the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, however, the signal strength using this adapter has gone up. I'm not sure if the update included a new driver or what, but there was an improvement. Yes, this is pretty big for use in a laptop, but I'm used to it, and it doesn't have the big antennas. I'm happy with it and would recommend it.

I HATE this thing!!! With a passion hotter than a thousand suns..... It is simply the most shoddy, unreliable pile I have ever had to deal with. Why is it, it can sit there blinking away happily for the whole time while I'm not using the computer but within 30min of trying to do something it just stops working??? In fact, it just did it while trying to write this. When I notice I no longer have internet I have to go through a routine. 1) Try to jiggle it in the USB socket. There is so much play in this crappy device that you have to jiggle the contacts to make sure they are actually contacting. 2) If that doesn't work, I right click on "Troubleshoot Problems" which prompt tries to reset it. Usually that works. 3) If 2) doesn't work, then I wiggle it in the in the USB port again then try the troubleshoot. 4) Worse case is I have to eject it, blow on it to cool it off then try inserting it and starting all over. In the past with my old built in 2.4G adapter, I can walk away from my computer and come back and start working when ever I want. Not this damn thing. If I want to guarantee problems try that. Now, at minimum, I have to turn off the Wifi. But its better if I not only turn off Wifi but pull the thing out of the USB port altogether. But even then that only guarantees me about 29minutes before I start having problems. In the middle of a movie and it starts buffering... sure enough, the damn thing has stopped working. I'm taking online classes. This is so unreliable that when taking tests, the only way to ensure I don't get kicked off line is to eject it and use my old built it. So..... I found a new 5.8G capable WiFi card and as soon as it gets here I would rather rip my computer apart putting in than spend another damn second with this piece of cra@!

Well, I may end up having to post an updated review if the Adapter's performance ends up being inconsistent, as other reviewers have noted. But I just installed it, and so far it is working great. My laptop was dropped a very short distance - it seemed fine, but its wifi connectivity went out not long after that (and the laptop was less than a year old). After an expensive time on the phone w/NetGear customer service to no avail, I ended up trying this. Installation was easy and I got a great signal immediately. (I am in the same, but a different part of the room my router is in.) Works great so far, and I'm happy to have such an inexpensive fix to restore WiFi connectivity to my relatively new laptop!

Funciona bastante bien aunque a veces se cuelga .... En tal caso lo saco del USB y lo vuelvo a poner y pasados unos segundos conecta con el wifi

Ottimo prodotto, consigliato. Ho inserito la chiavetta nella presa USB di un computer con installato Windows 11 e immediatamente è stata riconosciuta e sono stati installati i driver. Successivamente ho aggiornato i soli driver scaricandoli dal sito del produttore. Buone le prestazioni generali di questa scheda di rete wireless, soddisfatto dell’acquisto.

De stick ,elf werkt prima de verbinding is goed, maar reden dat ik het een miskoop vind, als ik volgende dag de pc aanzet werken de drivers niet meer en moet ik ze uitstallen en weer opnieuw installeren en opnieuw de wificode invoeren en dat dagelijks steeds doen is echt te omslachtig, en heb de nieuwste drivers van internet.

Very easy to install, including the drivers from the enclosed mini CD. Instructions are clear and simple. I am using it on a Win 10 tower desktop PC, connected to a USB 2 port. I do not have a Wireless card installed. I needed to have WiFi as the Powerline ethernet connection was only giving me half the speed, approx. 35Mbps. With this WiFi USB dongle I now reach 70Mbps download speed, the same as on my iPad. My problem very easily solved and I am very pleased.
