Bulova C1517 Saybrook Wall Clock, Brown Cherry

This is beautiful! Love the warm cherry finish and the size is perfect. The sound of chimes is rich. So glad to get it!

I am happy with the clock, it is beautiful, and was happily surprised when I discovered the clock counts the hour. Would have been nice if it would strike once on the half-hour (as opposed to the quarter hour), but I'm still delighted with it. The chimes don't sound cheap, keeps accurate time, love it!

This clock came well packaged and seems to be a quality made clock. Just the right size for our wall space. I love the chimes and all of the various settings to customize the way you want to hear them. Various chime options, volume control (or off) and night silent setting. Has a rich wood look and is well made.

Great sounding chiming clock! Only annoyance: the instructions were in such a tiny print I needed a magnifying glass to read them. Tried and returned 2 other clocks because they had such cheap sounding chimes .

I just set up my new clock, and I love it. It was easy to set up. The directions were well written and clear, and the chimes are beautiful. I think this a good bargain for the money. It's made in China of course, but so is everything else.

a great clock. Had a bit of a time setting it, and i do miss the ticking. It replaced a 31 day wind up clock which finally gave up. I do like the chimes and the fact that the batteries last about a year. A suggestion. Very important that you make copies of the instructions and put them in more than one place. Setting it is a little tricky. Actually my grand son was kind enough to do it for me. But remember if you are replacing a wind up clock, there is no ticking sound.

I love this clock; just what I wanted. I would rate it down a bit, maybe a 4.5 if I could, because the directions were a bit difficult to follow. However, if you are a logical, patient person who enjoys a bit of a challenge, you will be fine. This sweet clock keeps perfect time and the chimes are deep and pretty for a small clock. I like that there is a pendulum, even though it's just decorative. The most difficult part was the necessity to give the pendulum a slight swing to get it started; really that's a two person job. You can't stand the clock up on a flat surface because of the decorative piece on the bottom. So I took the back off, propped the clock on a counter (with the decorative piece extending over the counter) with the clock facing away from me, gave the pendulum a swing and it started right away. Then, I couldn't lay the clock down (that would stop the pendulum) and awkwardly held the clock upright with the decorative piece on the edge of the counter so the clock could stay upright. Then, I had to screw the back on again, really a two person job. I held the clock upright using my chin. Anywho, it worked, and now it's just the right clock. Update: June 7, 2017 - the chimes began donging 1 number less than the hour time about 2 weeks ago. Now, the chimes are completely random and not connected with time at all. Each hour gets a random number of dongs from 1-12. I've contacted customer support (212 497 1864). I hope they can help as I really like this clock.

Clock looks great and was not that difficult to set up, just follow the instructions. Chimes sound realistic and having a volume control is a nice plus.
