. Review: Cool - Cool Review: Def. Different - This is a big change from "The Poison". Some may not like it, but others enjoy it better than Bullet for My Valentine's debut record. Considering frontman, Matt Tuck, had surgery, this is a great album, vocally. It has a Metallica twang to it, but the lyrics are heartfelt and very personal (i.e. "Hearts Burst into Fire"). Very good job!

A strong and surprisingly heavy CD. Excellent in terms of quality. Recording is awesome and the guitar work isnt half bad. These guys are probably the best at this new age metal stuff, and this time they went a little heavier. There are still the little melodies and harmonizing in the choruses, Though vocally it is rougher, which is good from where i stand. Honestly, its not THAT much different from the last disc, just better produced. And there are some very commercial moments like on 'Hearts Burst into Fire' and 'Say Goodnight'..Those i could do without.. These guys are young and at least selling some CD's to the masses. Could have been a lot worse seeing todays music climate. It is encouraging to see they followed up a good release like 'The Poison' with possibly a better effort. Definitely has some heavy moments. Not perfect, but I like it.

This is a fantastic modern metal album that was highly anticipated. I had forgotten just how great this collection of songs is....its faster than the poison but still has the signature b4mv hook laden sound loaded with great riffs and catchy licks. I lost this album and as any music fan knows, if you are buying a replacement, its because the album was good enough to notice it was missing....a few years have passed since this albums release but its still as fresh and catchy as the first listen. Fantastic album for a fantastic price!!!! I highly recommend this if you haven't heard this great band. its how modern metal should be ;)
