Great Value. I wanted to test these before commenting. They arrived on time, are small, easy to install, and work very well. Actuation range with the magnets is about an inch with the magnet parallel and about 1/8" with the magnet perpendicular. This allows mounting flexibility without resorting to spacers and the like. The magnets and reed switches are the same size (not including the leads) - 1.125 inches x 0.25 inches x (0.25 inches +a mounting tab 0.25 inches wide by 0.0625 inch thick - so nominally a total of 1/2 inch) and there is 3M double-sticky foam on both. Mine came with screws as well - 1/2" long small sheet metal screws that work well on wood or metal - I guess for those who distrust adhesives. The seller (Zbeem) sent a confirmation e-mail with a special link in the event there were shipping issues (a really nice touch I haven't seen before). I appreciate their follow-through, prompt delivery, and the quality of the items. Just ordered some more for use in interlock applications.... great product

An impressive magnetic contact. I was able to mount the wired contact portion in a vinyl casement window where there was a ~1/8" plastic partition between where the wired contact could be mounted and the closest location the window sash mounted magnetic contact would mount. I was skeptical such a mounting would work reliably, but they do on all four windows fitted.The contacts are quite small, seem well manufactured, and include seemingly robust 3M double sided tape pre-applied. For typical applications installation should be a breeze and with a little matching paint the contacts will not be noticed. The ~ $15 price 10-quality contact sets also seems more than reasonable, if not a deal.

These things are great! They are small and have a good gap they can trigger with.I bought these for various projects in my home automations. I was just thinking it was a good price but I was thinking they were bigger than I really wanted. I was pleasantly surprised that they were a little over 1inch long. I have used them with monoprice z-wave sensors and cheap 433mhz sensors. Just unsoldered the reed switch and put these in its place. Worked a treat and just so tickled with them. When I use these up I plan on buying more.If you're thinking they could suit your application, they can.

I actually purchased these to see if they would work as non-contact position sensors on a CNC. They actually worked too good, as the magnets are really strong so I couldn't get good alignment. This means that they would work really well in their intended purpose as alarm magnetic switches.

Low cost & Easy DIY to install, no drilling or screws required, just stick it to windows and doors, replacing defective old contacts damaged by Harvey flood. Replaced 10 sensors in few hours. Magnets are powerful and all installed sensors work. Total installed DIY cost is a small fraction of calling for tech from alarm company.

Installed Hurricane proof windows and needed to rewire my alarm system. Buying this kit saved me money from having to make a service call. The lead wires were more than long enough to replace the sensor and the magnets were easy to peel and stick.

I had bought a different one on Amazon, but then found this one that was just a bit smaller than the first one I bought. The little tab that is used to screw mount the contact can be removed with out much trouble if you just want to stick the contact and magnet to the surface. I only needed 6 contacts and all 6 I installed worked fine. The white color was just what I was looking for for my white windows. If I had only one complaint, it would be the black CE marking text that is printed on one side of the contact. It can, depending on which side of a window the contact is mounted on, take away from the clean look.

Professional grade, high quality reed switch. Operates well, gap at near 1”.Normally closed operation, with magnet nearby, just like your window/ door is normally closed.
