Purchased as a gift for a friend who suffers back pains and muscle aches due to job. Head the joy of actually being on comchat with him while he was using it and he changed the setting up one notch and it went from being relaxing to borderline electric chair. 10 of 10 would love to experience again.Purchase this and a back massager for him so he gets the full experience for whatever he actually needs for there being gentle or something more in-depth. They were thrilled with the purchase and have used it daily.

This has been a disappointing device. I only had it for about six months and only used it a handfull of times and it's already broken and I'm pursuing a warranty claim. It's fairly cheap-feeling plastic, especially for a device that costs more than $150, which they try to disguise by wrapping it in rubber (which actually makes it more difficult to handle with all the flaps. I had only charged it up maybe three times when the charging port just pushed into the device when I tried to plug in the cable that came with it (which has a weird proprietary tip btw, which was also annoying that you can't use any micro-USB charger it has to be this weird one that came with it so make sure you don't misplace that). For $150, it should have USB-C anyway, not the cheapest, weirdest micro-USB they could find in the wholesale discount bins.Couldn't even really evaluate its effectiveness because of how quickly it fell apart. Not cool.[1/15/24 update] I'm updating to four stars because I made a warranty claim and Compex was really, really good about it. They immediately replaced it and it shipped quickly, so between the warranty claim and the replacement was only about a week. That's really impressive and rare and greatly appreciated. So they stand behind their products.
