M&P Shield 40 Holster with TLR-6 Light Laser IWB Kydex Holster Custom Fit: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm/.40 w/TLR-6 - Inside Waistband - Cover Mag-Button, Widened Entrance, No Wear, No Jitter

I've been having a hard time finding an outside waist band holster (OWB) for my pistol (S&W MP40) because of the laser guide attachment that is on it. Looking at this one it looked like it would fit however it is an inside waist band (IWB). I decided to buy it even though I really wanted an (OWB). I drilled exact size holes on the other side and mounted the belt clip on the other side & now it works as an outside waist band holster!! I don't know why this company doesn't just pre-drill holes on the other side so it can be used either way, or make this exact model as an (OWB) but I just "modified" it myself & now I can change it back if I want it as an (IWB). The quality of the material is very good so even though I drilled new holes in it I do not think it will wear down or brake over time!! Other than all that it is a Great holster, that is easy to use, light weight, very comfortable, and you can adjust the retention on it to make the pistol slide out easy or hard.

I bought this for my Smith and Wesson MP shield with a TL laser fits the gun perfectly and keeps it snug. This works perfectly for me and is comfortable.

Nice holster fit the Shield well, but part of the holster covers the mag release which is not good for extended mag release, had to trim it away from that area.

Just opened it up today and overall, it’s tacky and unimpressive. The retention is sloppy and my shield fits poorly and rattles around when in the holster. It would absolutely drop my gun given the opportunity. I bought the claw from the same company and it won’t tighten up enough to stop moving and folds constantly so it realistically offers nothing when it comes to improved conceal-ability. The thin material flexes and sits over the mag release, so I can only imagine it’s a matter of time until it releases a magazine inadvertently. I will run this holster long enough to be able to afford a nicer one, but I will feel nervous and uncomfortable during that time. This feels like a $20 gimmick holster, when it reality I spent close to $60 on it. Little value for the money you spend. Save your money and buy something that will actually secure your shield properly.

Using an MP Shield Plus 9mm, this fits perfectly. Held upside down and shaken hard without any signs of a drop. As pictured for those wondering, you cannot have a red dot installed with this holster. Since I was swapping mine out, I thought to test to confirm in case anyone was wondering.
