Byers 1700 Big Bobber Floating Cooler

We have not used this in the pool yet... I bought it for my boyfriend for his birthday, but ended up using it as his Easter basket and filled it with gifts, candy and beer... It was perfect. The bobber itself is sturdy from what I can tell and has a carry handle. So far we love it, but as I said, we have yet to use it in the pool. We live in New England, so it won't be used until the summer.

We bought this cooler to use in our pool. It is great and can store quite a few drinks. It is very easy to open and just floats around so it is there when you need it. It is great to not have to get out of the pool to get a drink. The kids love it too. It is very easy for them to open as well. We haven't had any of the previously mentioned problems with the cooler filling with water from the pool and melting the ice or with it floating on its side. It just bobs around upright and all of our drinks have been chilled for hours. I think that if you don't fill it too full then it works great.

I love this! the big bobber was a huge hit on my last cannoing trip. but when dragging the cooler behind my I did notice that it took on some water. so beware that this product is not water proof. It is a huge plus that this was made in the USA

Great cooler for Kayaking but with a caveat.It is not watertight. So you can’t tow this behind your vessel or prepare to rescue your cooler and empty the water that went inside. The alternative is to place it on your vessel.There is a reviewer that wrote on their review on how to solve the water issue using a pool noodle. It works.

It's the coolest thing ever. I already had one and used it as a garden display in my yard. Neighbor loved it so much I got one for him for his birthday. They are fun decorations as well as good coolers.

I was super excited about this cooler and it does float. However, it leaks! I purchased this to float behind my paddle board, but it filled with lake water and then became so heavy to pull. It is great if it can just sit in the lake, but a bummer for the purpose I hoped it would serve :(

I put a rubber weather strip from home depot. Can of spray foam and a noodle.I roughed up the inside top with a wire wheel.Sprayed foam in top heavy.And a little in the bottom.rubber seal on the top of the bottom so it won't leak. I silicone the top t handle closed, because it did leak water inside the top of the lid when opened in the water. I put the noodle together to make a circle. The cooler sits inside it, and I'm going to silicone it on the cooler. The latches were a little tight after the rubber seal was installed. So I filed the red tabs down a little so it latches easier.It holds 8 beers and ice and the ice was not all melted after being in the lake for 4 hours.

I love that it literally looks like a floater. It will comfortably hold a six pack and it’s perfect for a day on the lake or river.

Love it! It’s adorable. It’s a bday gift for my fiancé. He saw it online and wanted it but hasn’t seen it yet.
