Good hinges…so far.
I just installed these hinges on a trunk in our bedroom. They are easy to install and are working well for now. Only time will tell how they hold up as the trunk is opened daily to put bed linens and pillows away. Therefore the hinges get a daily workout. Check back later for a follow up on this review.

Works. Good sturdy hinges.
The media could not be loaded. As others have said, no instructions but also as others have mentioned 5-5/8” from back of box and 1-1/4” from top for the rear most bottom hinge hole. Compress the hinge and mark the top bracket hole position on the box. Transfer position to the lid and screw. Works like a champ. Will buy this again if needed.

Needs mounting instructions
Hinges look great and work well. As noted in previous reviews, the following instructions should be included. The suggestion from Mr. Gary White in his review on May 26, 2022 was perfect and made the install work great. He stated " locate the "U" shaped portion of the mounting bracket (exposed part of the spring facing up) the rear most screw hole needs to be 3 5/8" from the rear corner of the box and 1 1/4 below the top edge of the box." Perfect dimensions. I would buy again in a heart beat.

No info on installation
I couldn’t figure out how to install. Searched for video instructions and still couldn’t figure it out. Nothing came with the parts

Perfect for my application
I have a cedar chest my dad made in 1939 when he was 18. The chain lid supports had broken decades ago. When he passed away last October at 103 we brought it home with us. These were a perfect solution to stabilizing the lid.As with the other reviews, they’re an easy five star product if they came with any instructions whatsoever.

Exactly the size needed
A chest that we use daily had a hinge that started collapsing instead of staying open. Now we have it fixed and a spare if we need it. Sturdy, looks well made.

Fixed my wicker chest
