Trump Never Give Up: How I Turned My Biggest Challenges into Success

It’s certainly worth reading about what Trump has experienced and how we can be encouraged to take small steps. It’s not about being Trump, but to experience for ourselves what can work.

I really enjoyed this book. Trump provides a lot of examples where he was faced with many difficult circumstances. He states in one case he was ready to give up. It was good to see that he faces significant obstacles like the rest of us (only bigger). While the average reader is unlikely to be doing multimillion dollar deals, he or she can benefit from the principles behind his successes and challenges. The book is broken down into 40 chapters that are only a couple of pages a piece. At the end of the chapter he provides a lesson learned that can be applied by virtually anyone in a variety of circumstances. There are some that may argue that many of his points are general in nature or feel good points but I viewed it as much more than that (those people are likely also less successful and the ones that complain about their lot in life). The anecdotes as seen here work well as learning tools to help the reader improve in their own circumstances. Some examples of topics include: First time failure is not the end, leverage problems to your advantage, be proactive, complacency kills, and patience is necessary and will be required at times. I would recommend this book for anyone going into business, students, small business owners, mid or low level managers, or those seeking to achieve something great (not even business related) but who have not quite arrived there yet.

The book is easy to read and has a lot of good advice. Most of his ideas are practical and so obvious that everyone should use them. However we don’t and it’s great to be reminded and see how they can work for a very successful person. Think logically and never give up unless it’s absolutely necessary.
