The instillation was simple. The construction seems good. It was significantly cheaper than the cable from the manufacturer. It sounds great.

This was a perfect replacement for a Yaesu microphone that had a damaged cord.

Quick and easy to replace the mic cord on my FT-8900R. The originals just solidified over time and fell apart like dried macaroni. The first time that happened I bought a new mic. Then it happened on my 2nd FT-8900R too. That's when I found these replacement cords. I bought 3, so I'll keep repairing the mikes now (if needed) and save some money in the process.

You never know what you get these days when ordering online… Fear Not with this one. The cable was a perfect fit. The cable is has an attached plug that mates perfectly with the one in the mic. No soldering! I was really surprised at how easy the replacement was. The strain relief in the cable is molded perfectly to fit into the mic where the original cable attached. A+ on this product.

This replacement mic cord seems to be of good quality and appears to be better material than the original. Installation is quick and easy.
