Got this item after my bonnet catch failed to open no matter what jiggling of the key I did. I followed a YouTube video and it took about 25 minutes to replace the old lock, with the most difficult step being prising out a cross shaped bit of plastic (the culprit) from the latch. It’s fiddly no doubt, but not particularly complicated to install. Item works perfectly and will store spare key in glove box. Given the item has the same bit of plastic that was originally causing the problem, it probably won’t last forever, but hopefully outlives the car. In any case I could replace it another 10 times before spending the same as getting a mechanic to do it.

I installed it 4 months ago and today was the first time I needed to get to the engine, come to find out it has broken and I'm stuck all over again with a bonnet I can't open. It unlocks when I turn the key left but does nothing when I turn it right. Really annoying, not the kind of task I would want to do every 4 months. A waste of money

Fitted it on a Ford Focus MK2 2008 1.8. Took 15 mins and went on really easy. Locks and unlocks as normal and seems sturdy enough. Easy solution to those ridiculous idea from Ford that would have cost a packet at the mechanic. Let’s see if it holds now.

I don’t know weather it is this or my cars fault but I’ve had to replace again after buying these a few months ago. This was easy to install but I’d have to question the durability.

Having replaced this bonnet lock once on my wife’s car, I decided to use a different source for the second replacement. There was a noticeable increase in quality with this part and I don’t think it will fail again.

Buena calidad, encaja a la perfección en Ford Focus 2

Facile da sostituire all'originale, se si fa attenzione a non rovinarlo inserendolo nel vano. Il prodotto è robusto delle stesse dimensioni di quello che andrà a sostituire. La doppia chiave fornita è funzionale e fa il suo onesto lavoro, anche se avere una chiave in più per il cofano non è certo comodo. Ovviamente però la spesa (anzi il risparmio) rispetto all'originale fa ben sopportare il peso/fastidio di avere una doppia chiave!
