Aesthetically pleasing
I like the look and feel of these books. Then you open them up and begin lessons and they are just as nice on the inside. Great way to start and learn about a topic. I use these in our homeschool curriculum and supplement with videos and extensions to the topics when needed.

Great book to layout weekly topics
The media could not be loaded. PROS:- Lays out weekly topics.- Easy to follow.CONS:- Not in color (black & white).- Not very in depth. We use this book as a weekly topic layout. We then supplement with other item to expand on the topic.

Great for Homeschooling
We have used this type of Social Studies book for every grade. We love it. Breaking down subjects into daily tasks makes it more fun and easy to learn.

Lots of info not in other workbooks
I liked having a way to add this type of information to homeschooling during the pandemic when many workbooks just focus on math and reading/writing. Each topic is broken into small chunks that are easily done in a very short session. The book suggests doing a page a day and is set up for that. We preferred doing an entire topic in a day and taking other days off. To each their own, but the book makes it easy to do it how you want. I also like that they mix up how kids respond: multiple choice, open answers, diagrams and more. Keeps it more interesting. The information is very basic. I would often add some additional YouTube videos or quick web searches to let my kid explore further. I would have loved color pages, especially when talking about country flags and such where color is important. Overall, a good pick.

Almost perfect!
I really like this book! Its easy to read and follow. It has great info and covers everything third grade needs in social studies. My 7 year old wishes it was in color and I wish the pages ripped out. Otherwise, great book!
