Not Enough Guidance/Examples for Young Learners
I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately I don't. It feels incomplete, like a workbook for a textbook, but there is no textbook. For example, the first lesson is how children and families from the past are different than from the present. There is a small paragraph that states "children played with different games in the past" but it doesn't describe what those games were. It also doesn't state how far in the past we are talking about (50, 100, 1000 years, etc.). The third part of the first lesson is to have your child draw pictures of what clothing, toys and games, and houses would have looked like in the past. How would a kindergartener know that without a book/video showing them showing them? I'm having to find a Youtube video to explain each lesson to my child before she can answer the questions. I even went to ArgoPrep.com thinking that the video explanations would offer more detail but no cigar. It's just a narrator reading through the book and answering the questions. Other than that the workbook itself is in black and white and quite boring. It just isn't worth the price for what you get. If you do buy, be ready to supplement this book heavily to avoid confusing your child.

Definitely way to advanced for Kindergarten
How are kindergartners supposed to use a book that’s way to complex for K grade level! They are not writing complete sentences and understanding the certain words meanings yet! This book is useless to us. Waste of money!!!!

Great but a little too advanced
I think these workbooks are great but more advanced than they need to be. The topics they introduce are great, maybe a little advanced but the written assignments are too hard. For example it often has the children write sentences for answers and thats too difficult for Kindergartners in my opinion. Writing in sentences is something 1st graders learn. My advice is to buy a grade level down. But I do like the topics introduced which has provided a basis for great discussions.

Find something else
It’s the entire book is in black and white! Had I known there was no color, I wouldn’t have purchased it. There’s a small reading every day and an activity once a week. It’s all easy but the no color book makes it all so boring. Find something with colorful pages to give to your babies.

Buyer Beware
I bought the companion workbook for my second grade granddaughter and she’s not having any difficulties with it at all, but this one is asking Kindergarten kids a lot in my opinion. My K granddaughter cannot even comprehend half of what this book is saying never mind complete the assignments. It isn’t written on a K level. I’ve given up on it completely and don’t recommend it for anyone trying to teach the subject to kindergarten students.

Terrible! Do NOT Recommend
This book is entirely too advanced for kindergarten. They want them to answer questions in sentences. In my opinion that’s too much to expect from a child in kindergarten. Also, the content is way over a 5 year olds head, more appropriate for 2nd-3rd grade. Not sure what 5 year old would know anything about protests and many other topics covered in this book.

To hard for Kinders
Its a great book but to hard for kindergartners.

No longer in Color
Based on the review photos I was excited for a colorful book. Unfortunately they must have switched to black and white and it doesn’t seem like it’ll be as interesting to my kindergartener.
