The media could not be loaded.  I replaced an existing old-school floodlight with the Eufy floodlight cam. Installation was straightforward and identical to what would have been the installation of a standard floodlight.This floodlight cam was my second Eufy product; I had previously installed and reviewed the Eufy Doorbell Cam, which I absolutely love.One of the most important differences in the Eufy ecosystem as compared to other brands is that with Eufy you do not need a subscription. This is HUGE in my opinion. With nearly all other brands, once you buy the hardware, you then have to pay an annual subscription so that your videos can be stored and accessed on their servers. This means someone else--not you--is controlling access to your videos. They can raise the price any time they want. They can change the terms. They can reduce the storage capacity. They can have a server outage and when you think you can access a video it may not be there. THEY are in control of YOUR videos and can charge you whatever they like as time moves on. Eufy operates with no subscription and all data is stored locally, in your full control.Quality of the camera is excellent. Crisp and sharp. Audio is excellent as well. In the video I have included you can see me being the good husband and taking the garbage out. You can hear the squeak of the garage door rollers that I haven't greased in years.The Eufy app and it's controls are outstanding, and this is VERY important to avoid constant alerts when a tree branch sways in the wind. The settings include a choice of "human only", for example. Aside from a sensitivity adjustment, you can also select specific activity zones. This is very important if a street or sidewalk are within view as they are for me. By setting an activity zone that excludes the street and sidewalk, my cam is triggered only when someone or something enters my property--NOT when cars or pedestrians pass by on the road out front.An unexpected surprise: because we did not select "human only" we are picking up all sorts of night life we didn't know we had. It does not wake us because our phones are silenced at night, but in the morning we see foxes, coyotes, racoons and bobcats we had no idea existing in our neighborhood. We even captured a video of a hawk swooping down and grabbing a poor rabbit in the middle of the night. We no longer let our cats out of the house!We have since added a Eufy indoor cam for when we go away and rely on a petsitter and housekeeper to come and go at the right times, and it is also an excellent product that I have reviewed separately.I highly recommend the Eufy security cam products. Very pleased with them!

Where to begin!? This checked off all the boxes on my wish-list for front door monitoring, and here's why:The picture quality is awesome - I've attached some screenshots so you can see the in-app view, and expanded full-screen video. It's nice and sharp, and the video has good frame rate. Even when the camera is just chilling in night vision mode, it's still surprisingly clear. I can log in from anywhere and view a live feed. If you're inclined, you can use that live-feed to have 2-way speech available. I tried out the sound quality and it is both audible and clear. Tap your light on or off while watching the feed, or find out if any sus-looking people should have worn their brown pants when you blast 'em with the warning alarm.THERE ARE NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEES. Imagine a world where you buy a product and then *don't* have to pay more money to use it. It's local-storage only, fairly generous at 4GB, with only a tiny bit of that taken up by the operating software. No extra charge to view video, no monthly fees to store your own data. Simple to manage your storage through the app and just delete the videos of yourself going to work or taking out the trash (or don't, I'm not the boss of you).Installation instructions were clear and helpful. Until I installed this, the most advanced electrical operation I had carried out was single-handedly changing a lightbulb, but I was able to get through the full set-up on my own. If you are similarly inexperienced but still willing to give it a go, take the time to read through the instructions before starting, and also watch the helpful video available on the app once you've completed the initial pairing and WiFi connection portion. It's great to have the unit hard-wired into the junction box - no climbing up and down ladders to change or charge batteries.The motion-sensitivity is excellent, and more importantly, adjustable. It comes default at the middle setting of 3 out of 5. I noticed the light would switch on, but not trip the video recording, so I pushed it down to a 2 and haven't had that problem since. Haven't picked up any cats or other animals on the video motion detection. Either they haven't been making the rounds this week, or the settings are correct to not activate for the smaller invaders.Floodlight brightness is *solid*. The two are independently adjustable any which way you want, so I was able to get one focused on my car while the other lights up the whole covered porch and captures the gate to the backyard. It's a crisp, bright white, providing good quality light for images. I'd recommend angling it away from the spot right in front of your door or you will white-wash the faces of your visitors (and possibly give them a tan).The app functions well and has plenty of options to help you customize your experience if you take the time to explore them. Eufy has great customer service and it feels like they genuinely do try to improve their products when they get feedback.Overall, I'm absolutely delighted with the purchase. This unit runs completely by itself and did not require any additional hub inside the home or other widgets aside from the free mobile app. If I chose to continue branching out my home security, I would 100% buy from this line. If I was absolutely forced to choose a con, I'd say price, but I consider it money well-spent for peace of mind!Happy creeping!

Given that this purchase is more than the usual 50$ we usually drop on amazon, I'd think a review is essential. I waited a week after my purchase to note functionality, quality, and customer service.Setting up, I misread the instructions which prompted a call to customer service. Although it was my own oversight, the customer service agent was beyond accommodating and supportive. The product itself was easy to install and feels like its made of quality materials. The picture is clear (a half second delay in live feed), audio (input, output, siren) is clear. Light is very bright. Recording preferences are very convenient. You can set a recording activity zone and adjust the level of sensitivity. Notifications are sent to my phone, and recorded history can be deleted via your phone in just 3 clicks. Overall, Very happy and satisfied customer. I would recommend

The this thing about this security floodlight camera is that it doesn't require a subscription fee like most other brands. Camera quality is really good, even at night. The microphone picks up audio significantly well and clear. Some other reviews do say that night time motion sensor is minimal, but it really depends on the location and setup. From my experience, I do agree that sometimes the motion sensors don't pick up right away and other times they pick up what I call "ghost movements", because when I review the video, there's nothing there.The camera setup is somewhat confusing and isn't the easiest to work with. I had to run through it 3 times before it finally connected to my wifi. One thing I don't particularly like about it is the adjustment knobs to the floodlights. Instead of the knobs being on the outer sides of the lights, they're faced inward towards the camera. This makes it hard to adjust the knobs to set the floodlights because the camera is bulky and gets in the way. It's especially harder to do on a ladder standing 12 feet above the ground.The lights shine brightly and illuminate even the darkest corners of our country driveway. It will take some time to fine tune the camera using the mobile app, but so far I've refined this camera to work the way I need it to. Adjusting the sensitivity does help, so you'll need to play around with it to get it just right for you. I love the fact that it gives me the ability to turn the lights on via mobile app. Sometimes doing this can help illuminate the area before I step out, in the event there are wild animals nearby.Overall, this has been a very good first floodlight security camera I've purchased. We're pretty satisfied with its performance. I'm looking forward to other products from Eufy.

I like the quality of the camera. The brightness of the light is awesome. I can even control on and off compare to my previous floodlight camera (ring) because I know exactly what to do I don't need to read the instruction but pretty sure everyone can install this no problem. I'm glad I can save videos without paying anything. I leave in Alberta Canada. The coldest weather so far this year is -15c and no problem. We Haven't get -40 yet but hoping will keep working with no problem
