So I ordered this flat Iron and I must say I think I got ripped off ! Tricked ya ! =) I think I did the ripping off, This product performs above and beyond what I was expecting. For less than $20 I got my money's worth. Think I want to order 3 more just in case something happens to this one that I have =). I'm sooooo In love, I must say this is a huge step up from what I was used to "GoldNHot" flat irons that would always melt on the side, and the plate would crack snagging my hair as I glided through my Hair. The reviews made me get it, I must say that I am a Product Junkie so Seeing all the great reviews I had to see what the hype was about ! An I must say now I know. These Flat Iron go up 410 Degrees, and its Lowest setting is 310 Degrees. It only takes 30 seconds to heat up, You don't need to have it up so high, One pass through your hair should be enough. Now I'm in the process of going natural so I've never used it on me but used it on my natural Little cousin's hair and It Straightened her hair soooo sooo good. After Straighten her long extremely thick hair I noticed the shine it gave her hair, it was nice and soft, shiny, and straight didn't take long to straighten her almost waist length hair. There is an automatic shut off after 60 minutes, which is good for those of us who rush then once we leave the house realize "ooops" I left the flat Iron on !!!! So Now worries there. Soon will try this with my natural hair. So far so good. No Need to go out and get a Chi or a Pricey Flat Iron This does the trick I promise. I'm into hair I even tested this out on some 100% Human Hair Blend, For those of you who aren't familiar with that term, It is a Human hair, and synthetic hair blend of hair. Now this hair Was created on a wig, and if you know anything about Synthetic wigs or hair you know how the tips get all ratty looking right ? This flat Iron Straightened it right on out and I was able to give it a Kim K. Kind of feathered curl, and It flowed nicely and brought the hair back to life. If I told you I paid hundreds of dollars on that hair you wouldn't know that I wasn't telling the truth!I Absolutely recommend this Flat Iron 100 times ! Works well. It heats up very fast, and the size is excellent. It is easy to use and control the heat. It is the correct size for travel, as it is neither heavy nor bulky. I keep a good grip on it as I do my hair. Great product, why wait? Get this now.

Perfect flat iron. You can adjust the temp on it and it heats up quick

I honestly wasn't sure about this when I first opened it. It looked and felt like really cheap and light plastic, and I was positive I was going to have to return it. I decided to try it out though and was pleasantly surprised by it! It heated up fast and easy (it actually got too hot for me), and I had no issue straightening my hair, which is about waist length. My hair is usually very frizzy, but this really smoothed the frizz away and made it shiny. I've only used it twice, so I will come back and update this review if there are any issues with the product.

Bought this Remington 1" Anti-Static Flat Iron with Floating Ceramic Plates and Digital Controls, Hair Straightener, Purple, S5500 for $29.99 and free delivery. Was just looking for an affordable but efficient straightener to get me by as I forgot to pack one. However this specific straightener blew my mind as it out preformed all of my high end, ridiculously expensive brand name straighteners (that range in price from around $250-$600) in every single way possible! For context I have long, thinning, baby fine hair and purchased this for myself. To say I wasn’t expecting much would be a huge understatement…Wowza was wrong! This Remington 1” straightener offers an LCD screen so you can have the precise heat temperature you need, comes to temperature in 30-60 seconds and holds it, has a button that needs to be held down for a few seconds before powering on and off, you can “lock in” the temperature you need so that you can’t accidentally turn it way up or down, does not rip out any hair, has a clasp to close the two plates together for easy storage, has a 360 swivel cord with decent length, straightens my hair faster, easier and better than any other I’ve tried and leaves the hair looking soft and with a healthy shine. It does cool fairly quick but please make sure it’s completely cool before putting it away or on any surface that can easily burn and keep it far out of reach from wee kids. Grabbed my Mommy’s hot curling iron when I was a wee girl because I wanted to be a big girl and do my own hair. Absolutely knew that I was never allowed to touch Moms curling iron but felt that I knew how to use the curling iron and would not get hurt…Ended up burning/singeing off a good section of hair and burning the side of my face pretty badly. Luckily my parents got me to the hospital straight away, had an amazing doctor who treated the burn and showed my parents how to use the medications at home and by the time i entered high school the skin had healed so well you’d never know I was burned. The worst part was that the section of hair burned off was pretty close to the scalp so I had to walk around with the worlds most bizarre, odd and ridiculous hair until it finally grew long enough to match the regular hair length. Lol. Good thing I don’t have a single memory of the incident or treatments or becoming a walking embarrassment. Only the memories of my Mom and Grandma telling me all about it. As the plates are only one inch, I was concerned about how long it would take to straighten my entire head. But the smaller plates (small sections) are far more efficient and easier to use. Can straighten and style my hair for work in around 10 minutes at the absolute most from the time it’s plugged in. Much better than the previous 20-30 minutes just to straighten my hair like with other straighteners! But the best way to prove how amazing this wee hot hair tool is…my two teenage daughters (19 & 17) prefer it over their own beloved (ride or die) straighteners that they’ve since parted ways with and absolutely love every single aspect of it. Each asked if I would get them one at the end of the last school year as a reward for excellent grades. My daughters also use this product as a curling iron and waver. They easily create any size curl and any amount of tightness. The sides of the plates are rounded so it curls quickly and easily without getting hair stuck slightly under a plate accidentally and having it painfully ripped out. Used as a straightener or curler the style you created holds and lasts while keeping frizz away and creating the appearance of healthy hair people want to run their fingers through! I’ve been trying to think of a con for this straightener but there truly isn’t one. The best I can come up with is that it did not come with a heat glove or carrying sack or small silicone mat that functions as safe place to rest the hot tool onto and also wraps between and around the two plate heads to protect it and as a carrying bag. But in all honesty none of that was advertised or stated saying it came with additions or free gift kinda a thing. This tool is so good and priced so incredibly well that Remington doesn’t need the typically subpar additions or gifts to convince someone to buy this product. The enticing extras aren’t needed to trick your mind. Also the colour isn’t my favourite and I’m not sure if it’s available in different colours to be honest. But when it comes down to I really don’t care what colour this straightener is as it’s how it works that really matters! Very highly recommend this straightener!! But don’t sleep on it as who knows how long it will stay at this awesome price! I always leave honest and fair reviews about my purchases, so I waited a few months before writing this. With three people using it very regularly not one single issue has come up and it works like a dream! Hopefully this information and personal opinion review helps you with the decision.
