This was a replacement for my previous set, identical to this one. It lasted many years without issue until the handle was misplaced. Very reliable, lightweight and durable, this is a really good cookset.

Don’t get me wrong the idea of ceramic coated pans for outdoor activities where weight and size is a consideration is fantastic. The constant cooking dilemma of burning outdoor backpacking food due to the stoves we typically use pinpointing heat into one spot has been a bane for many years. These pans truly solve this. To put it simply you can cook an egg on a jet stove with no oil or lubricants and it literally still moves around like a hot knife through butter, effortlessly. HOWEVER, over a three week trip to Sweden Norway canoeing off grid and completely self sufficient I would question their durability. Three or four times I had to realign the pans with force to allow the lid to sit correctly on the pans. (Easily bent) and secondly the ceramic coating on the bigger pan has started to chip now I haven’t used a single metal piece of cutlery or crockery on it (obviously because you want to keep the ceramic coating as intact for as long as you can) so I can’t say for sure if it’s the bending and realigning or the fact that the smaller pan is in fact scrapping the bigger one during storage in dry bags etc. canoeing tripping with portages is a rough thing. These pans are great but at the cost and the MSR brand slapped on the side I guess I just expected that little more from them. I will still happily use these pans and I think the handle functionality is second to none, it’s secure when fully laden and folds very practically.
