VIOFO HK3 ACC Hardwire Kit for A129, A129 Plus, A129 PRO, A129 IR, A119 V3, Enables Parking Mode, Low Voltage Protection

VIOFO hardwire kit, this is second time I've purchased this, once for my car 2 years ago and now for my partners new car. Very happy, be sure to check your fusebox properly for which leg is live - plenty of guides/forums online for every car, easy self install. Paired it with a VIOFO A129 Plus Duo.

Bought this for my 1984 car. As other reviews have pointed out, this kit does not come with any fuse taps, Instead just bare wire for you to install, either into fuse taps. Or in my case, crimp ring terminals in and install into my own fuse box. As such I would say this is perfect for me, not buying anything I would not need, however I am aware my install would be a rare case. I have the voltage selector set to the highest voltage, I have had no issues starting the car after the camera has been in parking mode for over 24h

***You will need to buy the correct Fuse Taps for your car before installing.*** I bought this kit as my Skoda Karoq has always on accessories ports (cigarette lighter & USB C ports its the most annoying thing about the car!) After my dash cam ran my battery down on 3 seperate occasions I did some research online and found other people with the same issue. They had overcome this by buying a wired in kit and using the back wiper fuse as the accessory wire and the 12v accessory fuse as the battery power. So I though I would give it a go so I bought this kit along with some low profile Fuse Taps that fit my Skoda Karoq. I read online that you needed 5 amp fuses so I made sure I got Fuse Taps which came with a variety of fuses. Install the Fuse Taps first to check they were working, then attached the ground and crimped the kits cables to the Fuse Taps and tested to check the dash cam had power. Everything worked perfectly. I then routed the cables around the window and tidied the cables away so that they couldn't be seen. All in all this took about 20 minutes to install. The only two complaint I have is the placement of the ferrite core stopped me from fully hiding the cable and the lack of explanation of the switches on the kit two what voltage to set the device to. However, the dash cam now comes on when the car starts and goes off with the car. Hopefully this should now stop my battery from being drained in the future.

Good kit works well, but you need connectors to piggy back the fuses in the fusebox, and sufficient space to fit them.

Does the job for my Viofo A129. You may need to buy fuse tap off connectors separately for your car, or you can splice wires. But once fitted you can forget about it. It allows me to use 'parking mode' on my camera so I can keep an eye on what's going on around my car when parked on the street on a night. The only downside was that the ferrite ring noise suppressor near the usb plug got in the way of my particular installation, I couldn't tuck it behind the trim like I wanted

Recieved in good time. But.. Have tried to fit it yesterday.. Trying the the Piggy back method of fuses, it will not work, yes the wire is showing signs of power through the leads, but nothing at the camera plug end,,something is wrong in the parts leading to it before plug.. They want you to send it back. I cannot be bothered with all this crap. I would buy another . But am feeling let down with not being able to just contact them to replace it.. Had to use the main wire to get it wirking. So now the camera cannot be used to it's full use.. Damn annoyed.

A must-have if you want your camera in parking mode. Works well and I like the different voltage cut-off settings. I have installed several of these on different vehicles now and I've always been satisfied.

also tut bisher was es soll, kabel sind lang genug, der knubbel (ferrid) nervt bei der installation, installation ist nicht für jeden etwas, da sollte man schon grob wissen wohin welches kabel und woher.. Der einzige Kritikpunkt für mich die per schieber einstellbaren spannungen (entladeschutz), höchster wert sind 12,4v (24,8v) das sind bei agm nur noch 60% bei regulären immerhin noch 70% ladung.. ausgelierfert wird mit 11,8v (23,6v) da wird es schwierig mit auto starten, entspricht nur noch 20%.. gut die cams brauchen im parkmodus auch nicht mehr so viel trotzdem find ich das schon grenzwärtig.. lieber wären mir die 4 stufen:12,2, 12,4, 12,6 und 12,8v.. enspricht etwa regulär 50, 70, 90 und 100%, agm 45, 60, 75 und 90% ladung..

This is a great three wire hardwiring kit and is the third of three that I’ve installed. The first was the Plozoe which was a two wire power supply. If only one power and a ground are needed it’s a great product with the best value as it includes 4 sizes of fuse taps that by themselves usually cost $7 a piece. It doesn’t have an selectable battery low charge feature. The second was the Power Magic Pro: what a piece of over-priced garbage. First off, it didn’t work out of the box which many have reported. You’re forced to retain the cigarette-like plug to adapt it to the dash cam, which makes it the most antiquated and inflexible of the hardwire kits. Warranty is voided if you remove the plug for more streamlined, less bulky terminals. The fork terminal for the ground is tiny; most grounding points that you’ll find will be M6 (10mm socket) or 1/4” bolts, so you either not find a suitable connection or have to source a larger M6 terminal to replace it with. The Viofo three wire affords you a battery power wire for parking mode and an ACC wire to wake up the camera when you start the car. The circuit board allows for multiple battery low charge protection limits and has nonproprietary USB connections. Hopefully this will become the new standard for dash cam hardwire kits. You must source your own fuse taps or splice into the vehicle power supplies which most pros suggest. The Viofo A129 Pro Duo with this power supply has been the best combo for the price, ease of use and performance. The small screen makes setup and monitoring current operation convenient and takes up a very small piece of windshield real estate. The Vantrue failed mostly because it would never wake up from parking mode (a three wire system would alleviate this problem). The Black Vue is very cheaply made for the cost. It has some nice features that make it an enticing option, but it’s in need of some serious updates and material upgrades to justify cost. The camera plastic is very cheap and the front camera jiggles around in the base. It also lacks a screen interface to quickly assess mode and operation. Save your money.

The best part is the product is that it provides the required fuse tab for required vehicle, after the purchase of the product the seller contacted and gets the basic details of the vehicle so as they can provide the correct fuse tab..and the work was done in a fluent way. Overal I'm happy with the type of sales service and the quality of the product. For the installation you would required a circuit breaker so as to know which one has constant power and cut of ignition point and also to know the positive side of fuse tab.
