Q: How durable are these? Has anyone used these around a tree ? Do they hold up?

If you wrap it around a tree, you may experience some wear from chaffing. Also, you will shorten the length of the rope, depending on the diameter of the tree. You may want to consider using a chain, or other similar item, to wrap around the tree and then attach the rope to the chain.

Q: If you are working out with the battle rope, what are you using to anchor it down? I tried using a 25 lb kettlebell & the rope is ragdolling it.

Either an anchor tie on the stationary bike, or a support pole in the basement. I have a wall anchor but haven’t installed it yet. Should work in a stud though.

Q: Is the whole rope 30 feet or when there is a "U" shape, it is 30 feet on each side, or is it 15 feet when in a "U" shape?

The entire rope is 30' long, so when you fold and attach it, you have 15' for each hand. You should also attach it in two places about 6" apart, because the ropes tend to get a little gnarled up down near where they're attached, because they're close together at that point, but not necessary

Q: Would a longer rope provide a tougher workout?

The longer the rope, the harder the workout.
