Where exactly were these fermentation weights made? the answers given seem confusing. where is the glass made? the usa or china or somewhere else?

The only made in the USA glass weights that I can find are from GoFerment!. I am going to purchase from that company because I do not want to support China which is killing Hong Kong protesters and putting Uighurs into concentration camps even as I write this.

These glass weights do not have a finger hole in them. How do you get them out of the jar when the fermentation is complete?

No finger hole, smooth glass all around. I use tongs to lift out but you could probably use any utensil.

I was wondering how clear are these? I was hoping to use them for making my own paperweights.

They are fairly clear, but do have a few flaws which, I think, would make them more interesting.

Can you pour boiling water on them?

I haven't done so but they are solid and sturdy so I bet you can. Especially if you warm them in hot tap water first.
