4.5 solid stars! My favorite so far in the spinoff. We had it all. A great friendship. Fun banter. Great chemistry. Good plot. Hockey. A feisty Latina. An ex playboy. Relationship drama. Good spice. I was so happy reading it. I ate it up.

I started reading this book expecting to be disappointed because I saw many reviews saying that it was the weakest one in the Briar U series and many of those comments were also saying negative things about Demi. I am so glad I was proven wrong! I finished the book in a day. That’s how much I loved it! I was already in love with Hunter based on previous books and I’m so glad this book brought out different aspects of him that made me love him even more. And Demi was the perfect heroine for him. She’s the perfect mixture of sweet and devilish and can consistently keep Hunter on his toes, which is exactly what he needs. Their book is more of a slow-burn compared to the other ones. It can get a bit frustrating in the beginning because the previous couples had it all much faster (except perhaps Summer and Fitzy, but they were hot for each other since the beginning so it doesn’t count). But this kind of relationship is just what Hunter needed. He needed to get to know Demi on a purely platonic level first, learn to trust her, be her friend and then move on to something else. And Demi needed it even more considering her previous experience. They were there for each other when they needed each other the most and the development of their relationship felt so genuine and natural. Love them! Can’t wait to jump to Connor’s book next. I already have a feeling he’s gonna join the top position of my favorite Elle’s boys alongside Garret and Jake. But love them all, really and can’t really choose.

i inhaleddd this book, honestly i went into it with quite low expectations because of what everyone else has said about it but honestly.. i loved it!! hunter’s character development and maturity throughout the series was beautiful to see, it made me fall a bit in love with him! i loveeeee when friends to lovers is done like this, lots of flirty banter and back and forth it was just great to read about. love hunter and demi together! their psychological project was such a unique aspect, i was trying to figure it out too. the ending i didn’t expect, make sure to check triggers! the epilogue melted my heart🥹 i didn’t expect to love hunter as much as i do, i’m still very much a fitzy / connelly girl but charming hunter following very close behind. the man is hilarious, and so so sweet with demi🦋 i love the off campus x briar u world, the mention of off campus boys / my man fitzy had my tummy doing little flips🫶 with every read of this series, i get more and more sad that this series is coming to an end. definitely a comfort series for me! idc what anyone says about mike and rupi, i thought they were so funny🤣 tropes: friends to lovers, slow burn, sports (hockey) college romance, spotlight on mental health, reformed player mmc, spicy, angsty, instant attraction.

Elle Kennedy has done it again! Bring you a most enjoyable read! Everything this girl writes makes you beg for more! She is amazing! The play brings together Hunter and Demi who are all about fun and flirty banter turned sexy and hot! This entire Series is a must read! Hands down favourite Author!! Elle Kennedy don’t ever stop writing!
