GREAT BEGINNING
MY 7 YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WANTED TO LEARN TO DO NEEDLEWORK SO I PURCHASED THIS KIT FOR HER TO LEARN BEGINNING STITCHES. SHE IS LOVING THE SKILL AND LEARNING HOW TO READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. THIS IS GREAT FOR A BEGINNER.

I bought this for my daughter but she didn't care for for it much. She found the instructions confusing and didn't want my help.. If you've never done cross stitch or have an independent child that wants no help like me, I'd go another route. I think I'm going to get a set that has the design printed on it, this one does not, and try her on it again. I enjoyed doing it myself though and was impressed with the quality.

Not recommended for beginners
I would say that the cross stitch is easy to handle but not very easy to read the instructions. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this for a beginner. I bought this for my daughter and she kept getting confused so I ended up doing it myself. If a beginner were to figure it out, they would be surprised when they got a real Crossstitch because the instructions are so different. Otherwise the dissing is pretty.
