Great design and sound quality
Overall, I really like this product. It has a great design and functions very well. The sound quality is very good. The only issue I have come across is with the wireless range. The product claims to have a 300 m (around 900 feet) outdoor and 50 m (around 150 feet) indoor range. I do not get anywhere near this range. My home is not large and I have not had any problems with range inside but I took the handset outside while talking on the phone and I lost the connection around 15-20 m (around 45-60 feet) from the the base unit. That was somewhat of a disappointment, but I don't know if the exterior walls of my home are part of the problem, so I did not factor this into my rating. I only mention it in case this feature is important and necessary for someone else. One additional note, the user interface is not well thought out and seems somewhat dated. With today's focus on user interfaces and so many good (and bad) examples out there, I feel they should have been able to put together a better UI for the keypad and screen.Overall it is a great product and I am very pleased with it. For the features that matter most to me, it seems to be exceptional.

bad
My phone worked well for 3 weeks and then the battery died. I have been trying to reach customer service in Canada and the phone number is not valid. The customer service in Europe cannot help me. Extremely disappointed with this non working phone and non existing customer service.

Died on my after 2 months. Stylish but useless
While the phone looks very stylish, it only lasted two months. The functions are not very intuitive. For example, I was never able to see who called me (the caller ID was nowhere to be easily found). I have contacted their support at [...]) I will update accordingly. They sent me a replacement battery, the phone worked for a few months. Now the battery has died again. I tried using a Nokia battery BL-4C but it does not work with this phone. I cannot find epure replacement batteries anywhere. I sent a couple of emails to their customer support but they have ignored me. It is a stylish useless phone.

A good phone with a couple of notes
I have three of these phones. The battery in one failed prematurely and completely after about six weeks (and it was not used during that time). I wasn't able to find a replacement battery, including through Amazon. After my detailing my travails in this review, Swissvoice got in touch with me and sent me one, no charge, and the phone is fine. The secret seems to be to contact [email protected]. If you own this phone, take note of this email address.Based on its shape, I'd hoped to be able to hold this phone between my chin and shoulder, the way older phones allowed. Sort of -- the microphone is actually a tiny hole above what you'd think is the microphone, and you somewhat block that when the phone is against your chin, somewhat muffling your voice. It's still usable as a chin/shoulder phone, as long as you position it carefully. All in all, it's a good phone. Audio quality definitely better than others. Range is good. Stylish, for sure.Well, now the battery has failed for the third time. It's been several months since the second failure, and it was quite a period between the second and first failures. The second time, Swissvoice sent me two batteries, so now I've put in the spare and it's working again. This is actually another phone that I swapped into this room after the second battery failure. NOTE: ----> It is clear that if you don't use this phone, at some point the battery will become defective. <------ You can get a replacement from the Swissvoice USA service center, I'm going to have to try to spoof this site (Amazon wouldn't let me put the web address in) doubleU doubleU doubleU period future-call dot com slash cordlessphonebatteries dot aspx. David Hayward there has been very helpful through my three battery failures. Another note: If you order stuff from them, they don't seem to have a means of refunding the credit card if it turns out that you don't need it. (I ordered another battery before I remembered that a spare had been sent at the second failure). So I'll keep the one I ordered as a spare. David tells me they have a very long shelf life. Earl

Disaster
I've had two of these phones sent to be by Amazon. The first didn't work, (not Amazons fault), the second sent out was problematic as well, and a nightmare to set up.I was really excited about receiving this phone, but its been a massive hassle from start to finish, ending with me having to call the manufacturer in Germany for them to take me through setting up in a different way. They were extremely helpful and polite, however I didn't expect to have to go through this when I ordered the phone. At £60.00 for a handset, I would expect the equipment to be more straightforward.I would class myself as pretty technical, but because the phone wouldn't set up following normal procedures, the staff at EPure had to take me through this very long winded process.I'm not really very happy with the phone at all, but having to start all over again and re-order a new type of phone fills me with dread.I love the styling of the EPure phone, it looks great, so I will sacrifice having a phone that half works for that reason.I barely use the phone, so its ok, I use my mobile/cell phone instead, so if you want to use this phone as your main phone, I wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't do enough for the price tag they charge and the phone doesn't have an answering machine.
