Well priced and delivered a day ahead of promise!

Hi, last fall I replaced my old Sta Rite grid with a new set of your FS-3053. The installation was easy and the product arrived as promised. When I started the system up this spring and added the DE, my pressure increased rapidly to over 30psi. (normally operates at 15-20). Does the membrane you use call for less DE media? The filter has 53 sp ft of filtration area and the label on the filter calls for 5.3 lbs of DE precoat. This would have been the correct amount for the original filter membrane, but I was wondering if they have been improved and perhaps need less now? Thanks

Outstanding and a perfect replacement to the crusty broke grids that were in the unit I bought used. If you can do like I did and find the actual 'death star' filter assembly and the inside is junked out like the one I found. Invest the money and drop these bad boys in it. My pool is immaculent these grids worked perfectly. As noted from other reviews you will find it takes a little playing around with and you will wish you have 8 hands when putting them in and trying to line everything up. It took me about 30 minutes in the scorching tampa heat to get everything where it needed to be. But the results are worth the effort as that with 400 invested in my new filter on my 15k gallon inground pool these grids in my used assembly make my water crystal clear.

These worked out great..it is a good idea to take pictures of the old ones before you remove them from manifolds.. there is 3 or 4 different sizes I forgot but they must be placed the same as old ones. Improved the filtering of pool water a lot

I knew something was wrong with my filter even I was vacuuming the pool and everything I was sucking up was coming back through the return ports. When I took the old filter out I found holes in the mesh after I cleaned it off. After looking at different options this one was the least expensive. I had been told by a pool professional once you take the filter system apart it is very difficult to put back together. This is not the case if you assemble it upside down letting the top part rest on some 4x4 blocks. I had the system back together really quick and the pool was clear the next morning.

Old filter elements were at end-of-life. End-of-life is evident when frequent back flushes and filter cleanings do little to keep a high flow through the filter. My filter would be fine after a cleaning, and then within an hour flow would slow to about 1/2. Reassembly would have been difficult if my wife hadn't asked if I needed help. During reassembly, all the filter elements have to line up with all the slots that hold them in place before the bracket can be tightened. You might need 7 sets of hands at this step, my wife and I did fine and what could have been a nightmare was not very difficult. Now, when my filter begins to flow slowly, a simple back flush works very well.
