The good part. It's very sturdy and solid built. They do not flex unlike some of the cheaper racks I came across. I needed an enclosed rack actually, but most enclosed racks are too deep for my limited real estate. I decided to get this because of the adjustable depth, and fabricate a shell in the future. The bad: quality could be better. The powder coat is peeling and sharp metal poking out at places where the coating has peeled. The are dings and scratches everywhere. I had to file them down using file. I would probably have to repaint those parts where the bare metal is exposed. It's very tedious to install this. The instructions are not clear and it took me a while to understand how everything fit together. The instructions ask you to assemble it while the rack is lying on the side. But if u do that, your will have a lot of difficulty putting in the bolt. If I were to do it again, I would install it right side up. The ugly: the measurements seems to be off. It does not include the dimensions for the 2 metal plates that jutt out at the bottom. This caused me some problems because I intend to adjust the rack to the smallest depth to fit a corner of the room. Now, the metal plates are jutting out and I can imagine I might kick on them accidentally in the future.

It's been reviewed many times on yt and elsewhere, nothing much to add, just make sure to use online manual otherwise I had troubles figuring out which numbers should correspond to the desired depth. Online startech website has that covered properly, in contrast to paper manual that comes with the rack. Half a year in use, it holds over 150kg without any signs of stress at all. Love it. Maybe a bit on expensive side but it's a perfect fit for my needs and small office.

This rack really impressed me. I didn't have any issues with the packaging and all the parts arrived as expected. The box it came in was pretty thin for how rough and sturdy the metal parts are but in my case it was fine. Assembly was a little difficult because the instructions it came with had images that were kind of hard to see so I just relied on the product images on amazon. There is a part when you have to screw together 3 different metal pieces so the order could be important. It includes tools (actually good quality) to help install however I still needed a wrench to tighten the screws on the wheels which was a bummer. Over all the assembled rack is SOLID. I have a slight warp to it though where my Rack Mac Pro 2019 won't click both sides of the locking mechanism. I have to push the right side in to make it click. Pretty minor honestly and probably easily fixable if I loosen some screws and retighten them. Overall I love this rack. The included tools were great but they need to include something to be able to screw on the wheels because the nut and bolt just spin without holding both sides. The Rack is super sturdy and I have no doubt my Rack Mac Pro, UPS/backup power, and networking equipment won't be going anywhere. I love that It's adjustable.

---ITA--- Per molto tempo ho cercato un armadio rack per server che potesse essere installato senza dare nell'occhio anche negli uffici più piccoli e che offrisse comunque la massima profondità di installazione. La soluzione viene da Startech.com con il 4/12U, che si inserisce facilmente sotto le scrivanie da ufficio standard. Se si dispone di spazio sufficiente con 12 unità di altezza, è possibile installare facilmente tutti gli apparecchi da 19" grazie alla regolazione variabile della profondità. Buona fattura, buona stabilità e un assemblaggio un po' complesso ma logico completano il prodotto. Sono un amministratore di sistema da oltre 20 anni e posso consigliare vivamente questo prodotto! ---DEU--- Ich war schon seit langem auf der Suche nach einem Serverrackschrank, welche sich unauffällig auch in kleineren Büros installieren lässt und trotzdem die volle Einbautiefe bietet. Die Lösung kommt von Startech.com mit dem 4/12U, der problemlos unter handelsübliche Bürotische passt. Wer mit 12 Höheneinheiten ausreichend Platz hat, kann durch die variable Einstellung der Tiefe alle 19" Geräte problemlos einbauen. Gute Verarbeitung, gute Stabilität und etwas aufwändige, aber logische Montage runden das Produkt ab. Ich bin seit über 20 Jahren Systemadministrator und kann das Produkt sehr empfehlen!
