Really comfortable work shoes I work 12 hour shifts on concrete Where I have to wear steel toe shoes I have no complaints

My hubby has had these almost a year. Good price, been extremely durable, given great foot protection and fit great.

I work on the ramp fueling airliners. I got these to have something that would go better with shorts than my boots. I prefer the lighter composite toe because it makes it easier when dragging hoses up a ladder, and if they get exposed, no chance of sparks. Through many rain storms, they’ve kept my feet dry. I haven’t had to worry about my feet getting too hot, either. I purchased these in May, and it is now late September. The memory foam insole has come to the end of its life after wearing them every working day since their arrival. It no longer provides much in the way of comfort. The tread is hollow. After 6 months, they have worn through in places on the left shoe, and the bottom plate can be seen, as shown in the picture. However, even stepping through puddles they still keep my feet dry. They also have been very slip resistant, even around the oil products and water on the ramp. I’ll definitely be getting another pair come next spring, but would really like it if they were improved to have solid treads rather than hollow ones.

This is the perfect budget shoe for light trades work not requiring a boot. I'm a college engineer & want a shoe that will put up with puddles of water, affordable, designed for work, but also comfortable/maneuverable like a sneaker. This is perfect. These are great when I need to stand in a couple inches of water while dealing with a leak, but also keep my feet breathing well because the sides are sealed even with a plastic bag material between the outer and inner to completely keep water out for several minutes. It is breathable on the top though to keep air circulating and keep my feet from getting hot/stagnant. I can also run in them comfortably, like a sneaker. The only thing is the laces don't stay tied too well but tying them extra tight works for most of a shift and if that really puts you off, they are cheap enough to buy another pair of laces & still be a good price. I'm about to get another pair, because now my work is giving a yearly allowance for safety shoes. I tried the more expensive similar work shoes, but they sucked in comparison. My feet slid around too much, because they were essentially a boot with the top eliminated, so they didn't hold my foot as well without the extra leg support they obviously need. They also weren't as breathable & my feet got hot and sweaty. I returned those and went back to these.

Great shoes and fit. Some didn't last long. I guess maybe cause I'm a bigger person

This is the second pair that i have purchased and they are comfortable and have lasted over a year in a construction type warehouse daily usage however this second pair did not come in a sketchers box and all tags were missing almost as if they were used i did not notice any signs of them being worn but there were no tags on them like my first pair and as i said they were not in a sketchers box it was just a plain brown unlabeled box my job reimburses with the proper documentation and tags showing they are electrical hazard certified hopefully they will still do so without me producing the tags and box as i needed them and cant wait on trying to do a return and await a replacement pair. For this reason theres 3 stars

Has been a great work shoe

I've had several pairs of sketchers with the memory foam insoles over the years and they've all been very light and comfortable. These are the exception. They are heavy, very large (even though I ordered my normal size), stiff, and extremely uncomfortable. If you duct taped a 2x4 to the top and bottom of your feet you would have more comfort and flexibility than these shoes provide. I have stepped on nails that provided more comfort. I kept them because I thought they would eventually break in, they have not after 3 months. I've now added an additional insole on top of the existing one and started wearing 2 pairs of socks and these shoes are still very uncomfortable. They say "composite toe", yet they are heavier than most steel toed shoes and boots I've owned. They are not flexible at all when you walk, so you have to walk like frankenstein (stiff legged and flat footed). I ordered the same size I have worn in all my sketchers, yet they fit like I've just put my foot into the shoebox instead. Very large and very wide like an empty boxcar, Even with extra insoles and two pairs of socks, they still feel like I'm walking around with my shoes untied. The only good news is that they are so stiff and tough, they feel like they could survive the next nuclear apocalypse along with the cock roaches. Don't buy these if you plan to work or play or walk or set or stand in them for more than 30 seconds a day. I've worn them too long to return them so I'll probably just use these for weights to do my barbell curls or to hold down stuff during a tornado and get me some shoes that are actually made to wear.

Robust design and comfortable. I understand that it’s not that light to wear as it is designed as a heavy duty working shoes.

So far the sole is quite comfy however I haven't used it extensively. I do wish it's lighter (thus the 4 star instead of 5) But the seller is a top-notch, very fast delivery
