BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS OF GRACE!
When this book first came out 3 years ago, I regret to say that I picked it up, looked at the table of contents, and thought "This is not important for me to read. It's just about grace." Why did I think that? Because I was so focused on apologetics, memorizing arguments and various facts on a variety of issues, I missed grace. Fast forward to about 3 months ago. I had been bone dry spiritually. I was not excited about God. I did not crave time spent with him. Instead, I just liked to read philosophy, theology, etc. One day, I heard an Old Testament scholar say in his weekly podcast, "If you can defend ____ doctrine, but you don't understand grace, I pity you." Those words cut me deep. I knew I had lost sight of what was most important, and I knew I needed God's grace to experience the joy and satisfaction in my relationship with Him. Lee Strobel's case for Grace was one of the books I've read in my rediscovery of the beauty of God's grace and desperate need of it. The stories told in this book will leave you with some of the beautiful portraits of grace I heard. You will see that God's grace is not something you can earn, nor something you have to work to keep, and there is nothing you've done that God's grace cannot save you from. If you find that an overstatement...READ THIS BOOK!

Ready for a Challenge?
The Case for Grace is exactly what you'd expect from Lee Strobel. His career as a Christian apologist is well-known and well-deserved. This book is only challenging to the extent that it's easier to talk about grace than it is to practice it. Strobel has done a terrific job laying out the theological foundation of grace, but he's also done fantastic job of illustrating it in tangible ways. If Christians knew how to practice grace as Strobel describes it (and some of them do), Christianity would be far more appealing to the larger society. Read this book and be challenged.

I was motivated to read this.
I read the Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace. I had questions about this young man. Friends were struggling with this story. I read this book at the recommendation of my husband. The difference? It¡s all about God 's grace. It isn’t about my accomplishments or education . It is all about God reaching out to me. I remain sad about Robert Peace's tragic life, but not because he went to Yale yet didn’t succeed in life, but rather because his downfall was trying to do it on his own, without God.

For anyone who has a dark view of God’s love ❤️
I really cannot grasp enough words to tell what incredible book this is. I have both kindle and audible. Stories of encouragement to Mr. Strobels raw honesty and perhaps the lowest place in his life both physically and spiritually. Anyone who sees God as a unreachable and tough master would find that very different and help them to realize even a bit that He is all grace, when we are all out for Him. Thank you Mr. Strobel. Terrific help.

Grace Displayed
If you don't shed tears in the first chapter you may not be human. This is an excellent portrait of God's grace at work in people's lives. We all have experienced God's grace in many ways...starting with being able to breathe and on and on. This book puts a face on grace. It shows us God and He clearly doesn't act like we do. Maybe this book can push the needle toward us being gracious more and more. We are to give to others as we have received and that includes grace. Think about this, it is clearly demonstrated in the book....Judgment has no part in Grace.

Unmerited Grace
This book provides several different life stories up and down the scale of human existences. The topic of unmerited grace links these lives reassuring us God loves each of us no matter the path we take to Him as He saves each of us from the pits of hell. This book is filled with great reminders that God grants grace to all and is uplifting in reminding us He sent His Son to restore us so we could have a relationship with Him without guilt or shame. Because He sent Jesus, we instead meet Him with joy and peace.

Learn store about God's endless Grace!
I have read several books by Lee Strobel and each of them are awesome. In this book Strobel talks with different people who had come to know the true meaning of God's grace. Some of the people were newly baptized into Christ while others had fallen away from God and into moral depravity. What each of them had in common was they learned how God's grace truly has no bounds, only the bounds that we ourselves place on it.

The book describes cases of extreme violence (Pol Pot) and ...
The book describes cases of extreme violence (Pol Pot) and degradation where the perpetrator has received grace. I am not going to murder people and I have not lived in those extreme situations, so I did not find that the book offered me anything in terms of spiritual growth. Finding grace in more everyday situations, some of which we might not even realise are creating a negative image and society would have been far relevant, I feel.

Couldn't put it down
Fantastic read. The main thing that I got from it was how important it is to let go of dependancy on self and cultivate a life which is dependant on God.The stories or testimonies are humbling and release strength and encouragement. I recommend this book to anyone, especially those who question the power of God to save.
