Useless! Didn't work properly you need to keep inputting the product key. The recorded video all scrambled showing black screen even thought the video is working fine.

Anyone having last era camcorders, DVR, VCR with RCA (Audio - L&R, Video) or S-Video output, memories stored in tape drives and wanted to convert those to modern digital video files this tiny device sure suffices the need. It is simple USB pluggable device with three RCA socket (Audio - L & R, Video) and S-Video socket that can be connected to older video players and camcorders. Comes with software driver in small CD (vendor could have made it available over internet for download, getting DVD drive may be a challenge). Installation of software is pretty simple straight forward task, booklets provided along has step-by-step instruction and also required license key. Easy to use interface, enables capturing the video in different formats including Windows WMV, DVD / CD quality MP4 format. It also comes with USB extension cable to enable the device to be plugged into USB port through cable, this is recommended as device becomes warmer while using it. Capturing is on real-time as the video is played and shown in the screen, quality is good, supports both PAL & NTSC formats, in DVD quality it is around nearly 1.4 GB of data size for 30 minutes recording. Simple & easy-to-use interface make the whole video capturing pleasant and easy. Overall at the price of 785 INR, it is an excellent and must to have video capturing device for all who want to convert and preserve memories from devices with RCA / S-Video output.

I had bought one of these in 2009 for about $20.00 with shipping and handling. I used it with a Windows XP computer. I seem to have misplaced that one so I bought another one for $9.99. Great price and my Windows Vista computer recognized it right off. That's after I spent the afternoon unable to get it to work in Windows 10. But apparently other people are having better luck than me with Windows 10. At any rate as long as it works on one of my computers I'm happy. And from the one minute trial video I took it seems to work very well. Also: It seem to automatically save the video as an MPG file (or other well known file format). So I'm assuming you can use the captured files with more user friendly video editing software once you have it captured. I haven't actually physically done it so I can't guarantee it but I can't see why it can't be done. (But I have been wrong before with things that seem obvious.)
