Nice added to tool to make the job easier!
I had purchased a Hydraulic Seal Gland kit to replace on my outboard cylinder. I saw this bleed tube online at the same time and dedcided to add it to my purchase to make the overall job easier. Bleeding a hydraulic cylinder is a messy & bothersome job but it must be done. This tool aided that process effectively. I also allowed me to have a visual reference of seeing or not seeing air bubbles in the clear bleed line. The brass fittings are of good quality and it as a good value for the purchase price. Will use again.

Makes bleeding so much faster.
Makes bleeding a steering cylinder so much easier, and faster. Needed a thin wrench (see that review) to use with this kit since using a "wide" 1/2" wrench may pop off the bleed couplers. This allows air back to the helm to get the majority of air out. I still bleed the old way after this to ensure no air is on either side of the cylinder. Of course you need to know more than just how to buy something to use this kit, but used as it should works great. I had to replace due snaping the end off from turning the motor. Sure they could make this part even stronger (and out of steel) but then you may risk damaging the motor, or boat itself (something has to give) I'm glad it was the tool since it's cheap and easy to replace. I have not needed customer service so can't comment on that, but would not hesitate to buy this brand, from this seller again.

Slight leak but worked great
Worked great but one side had a slight leak. Clamp should have been tighter.

Worth having for anyone doing their own boat maintenance.
Easy to use and there are plenty of videos available to explain the process if you are unfamiliar with it. Just make sure you have the adapter tube for connecting the oil to the steering unit ) Marine Tech has that - I had one with my boat already.

Like having a second pair of hands
I used this to bleed a newly installed hydraulic steering assembly on my pontoon boat. After reading the horror stories of the bleeding process using the two bleeder screws and refilling as necessary with fluid, I consider myself lucky to have found this. Once ready, loosen both bleeders and then use the quick connect on each end to tie the two bleeders together. Once the fluid is in the the system you just crank the wheel back and forth, lock to lock until there are no more air bubbles in the crossover tube, or "burping" up through the helm. This took a bit of time, so be patient. Once finished, tighten the bleeders and unhook the bleed tube, and the excess fluid remains trapped in the bleed tube for the next project. There was not 1 drop spilled at the motor. The process at the helm was a bit messy, but in the future I would handle that differently. If you are installing or maintaining a hydraulic steering system, this bleed tube is a must, keeping the boat clean, and you sane.
