Not the same. Black box is molybdenum Green box is tungsten. Both do the same thing.

I would think so, as long is a small amount

Why would one purchase this over Ceratec? Is there an advantage to one over the other?

Funny. Ceratec is advertised as bonding to metal for long-term protection as well.
