Pretty and works well.
Works good. In a torrential downpour it does overflow. We used the gutter adapter and the bowl at the bottom. The bowl is not supposed to hang from the bottom. People have complained that it tips when it hangs. It’s supposed to sit on the ground and anchor the chain. It would be way too heavy when filled with water to hang. Ultimately damaging the rain chain and gutter from the weight. I also added sone nice large smooth rock to the. bowl after this photo was taken.

Rain chain basin
It does as intended but if you get a lot of rain then it fills up quickly. I suggest having it on concrete or a way to divert the extra water. Mine sits in my front flower bed and the birds and insects will use it for water.

Conversation Piece and Useful
I saw this on a neighbors house and had to buy one. We decided to put rocks in the bottom of the plate to add to the decor. It’s so pretty when it rains and relaxing to listen to on the front porch. The only issue is that you need to make sure it’s secure where you hang it. We have it hung from our gutter and the water made it so heavy that it pulled the gutter down and leaked. We’ve since found a more secure place to hang it with no issues.

Perfect paired with rain chain!
I love this basin. It's well made and sturdy. I bought it with a rain chain for a gift. It is really nice. I'm going to get one for myself soon!!

This works great with the rain chain!
This works great with the rain chain and gutter adapter! The installation was fairly straightforward. For the basin, the rain chain was long enough to reach in my application. Since I didn’t need any of the included chain for length on the basin, I just removed it and attached the base of the chain directly to the basin. As far as the water falling near the base of the house goes, I will have to keep an eye out just in case… as of right now, it hasn’t been an issue and I think I could add stones around the basin and direct the water even further away from the foundation. Overall, I highly recommend this in addition to the rain chain!

Dual purpose
Installed a rain chain on a new gutter and put this at the base so the force of the water during a storm doesn’t erode the soil. It serves that purpose and has also been a birdbath because it has edges a bird can hold onto.
