The actual content of the book is fantastic - I work in an outpatient role and I love that it covers such a huge variety of clinical practice areas in a tiny package. What I don’t love is that the format is incorrectly listed as hardcover - the book is actually spiral-bound, and it’s not as durable as what would be ideal for something that’s used on a daily basis. The description should be updated ASAP, particularly to reflect value and lifespan for pricing. I hope the publisher will consider making the next edition a bit tougher to withstand everyday use. One note: it’s US-based, so occasionally the units aren’t given as used in Canada or internationally or everywhere else in the world (a few of the diabetes drugs brands are different). If this book could include metric units and be a hardcover in the next edition, I feel like it should be a required material for practicing students. The appendix lists the DRIs, conversion factors, lists of food servings for important nutrients, and a lengthy list of drug-nutrient interactions (with generic names, so Canadian-friendly there). I’m sure it will only continue to improve with time, and am grateful I didn’t have to spend hours compiling this info on my own to keep in one place. I’d give 4.5 stars if the option were there.

Highly recommend for dietetics students and those who are new in their RD-career. It comes very handy during my clinical rotations and current in-pt work.
