Versatile and Compact Tripod for Travel and Vlogging
The ULANZI MT 16 mini tripod has been a very useful accessory for both travel and everyday shooting. I have used it with a mirrorless camera, an action camera, and even as a desktop webcam stand, and it feels stable and well built for its size. The extendable design and multiple height adjustments make it easy to adapt to different shooting scenarios. The 360 degree ball head moves smoothly and locks securely, allowing for quick framing changes. I also appreciate the cold shoe mount, which makes it convenient to add a microphone or small light. It is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry in a bag, yet sturdy enough for regular use. Overall, this is a well designed and practical tripod that offers excellent value for vloggers, travelers, and anyone needing a flexible small camera support.

The Little Tripod That Could!
I haven't used this tripod super extensively or for any intensive use, just little things like occasionally needing a closeup angle or some macro stuff on a counter, but so far it's held up fine and I've bought another one after giving my first one to a friend! The ball head is metal and feels strong, and the extension mechanism is metal as well. The base/legs are plastic and there is some flex to it, I wouldn't put anything crazy heavy on this tripod, definitely stick to compact cameras, phones, or compact mirrorless systems with small lenses. Wouldn't trust an A7 series body on this for example. Overall with my light use I'm happy with it!

Lightweight Stand, Heavyweight Performance
The ULANZI MT-16 is like the Swiss Army knife of tripods—small, versatile, and somehow always ready for action. One minute it’s a sturdy desktop stand for my webcam, the next it’s a handheld selfie stick making me look like a pro vlogger instead of “guy fumbling with his phone.” The 4-level extension is smooth and solid, so I can go from compact to tall in seconds without feeling like it’s going to collapse mid-shot. The 360° ball head is buttery—tilt, twist, spin, and it locks right where I want it. No saggy camera angles, just perfect framing every time. Bonus points for the cold shoe mount. Being able to pop a mic or light right on top is a game-changer—suddenly my quick vlog setup looks like I hired a mini production crew. And despite all that flexibility, it’s super lightweight and portable. Toss it in a backpack, and it disappears until I need it. In short: sturdy, clever, and ridiculously handy. The MT-16 makes me feel like a travel vlogger even when I’m just setting up Zoom calls in my living room. If Batman vlogged, this would definitely be in his utility belt.

Absolutely love this tripod. So durable, easy to use, and feels like good quality. I like the functionality of it too, as I’m able to attached a light kit to it, instead of buying the light kit for my GoPro. I really like this brand and plan on purchasing their other tripods too.

This tripod feels solid and works better than the one from DJI
Why I bought it I needed a tripod to use with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 so I could record jiu jitsu sessions. I wanted something lightweight but strong enough to hold steady during movement. The built in grip and adjustable angles seemed like a good fit for what I needed. What surprised me right away It feels sturdy right out of the box. The grip is solid and does not slip. The material feels better than I expected at this price. Honestly it feels more reliable than the branded one that came with my Osmo. The adjustments are smooth and the ball head holds its position without drifting. What I did not love Nothing so far. It sets up quickly and holds steady. No issues with balance or slipping. It just works the way you hope it will. Would I recommend this Yes I would. If you are recording with a compact camera or something like the DJI Osmo, this is a great little tripod to have. It is light, easy to carry, and surprisingly strong for the size. Whether you are filming on the go or setting it up on a desk or mat, it gets the job done.

A great accessory to record with an action camera
It fulfills what it promises, this works perfectly for me GoPro, since I can leave it as a tripod, move it as a selfie stick to record excursions, and built with very good materials.

Good for your GoPro, but a bit too flimsy for your portable monitor
Got the MT-16 stand back in late May 2024 to work as a stand for my 16" ASUS MB16ACV portable monitor. The MB16ACV has a screw hole, and the stand seemed like it would be the right height to pair with my raised laptop setup. And it works perfectly... at first. Now nearly two months in, whenever I mount my portable monitor onto the MT-16 tripod stand, the stand instantly starts leaning towards the left. It's bad enough that if I want my portable monitor to not fall over, I need to lean it against my raised laptop to keep things steady. I'll keep this for my kid to use as a GoPro mount, but it'll be back to the drawing board for me in terms of elevating my portable monitor. tl;dr: Great GoPro solution, but not strong enough to hold a portable monitor up w/o tipping over

I purchased this tripod because I couldn't source an official ASUS stand for the ASUS ROG Strix 15.6” Portable monitor. Whilst the monitor has a stand built-in, the ergonomics are not ideal. The tripod has three sturdy feet and a right angle threaded head that works with the thread on the back of the screen. The tripod can also hold the weight of the monitor easily.

I bought this for travel, using it to hold a Magsafe mount so I can use my iPhone as a webcam. It works perfectly. It is lightweight and stable for my iPhone 14 Pro with the MagSafe mount. The shoe is an excellent addition since it also allows me to mount an LED light. The telescopic piece is compact yet goes up high enough to clear my Macbook Pro 15 easily. The adjustable bearing is also quite stable. This is a combination of metal and plastic, and overall the quality seems good.
