WEN DPA2513 24-by-12-Inch Drill Press Table with an Adjustable Fence and Stop Block

Good quality for a good price. It was easy to assemble/install. Stable. Comes with a fence and a stop block that are good enough. I had a Rockler drill press table for many years, but sold it with my old drill press. It was great. It was large compared to the Wen, with a better fence and a form of dust collection (although dust collection on a drill press table is iffy at best in my experience). However, I never utilized all the real estate Rocker offered, and I don't need or value a top-of-the-line fence for a drill press. Good enough is good enough. Since a new Rockler was about $170, and the Wen was less than a third of that price during Prime Days, I gave the Wen product a shot and am very pleased. I would make the same choice now. If you need a large space, a better fence, or dust collection, this might not be perfect for you, but I like it a lot. It's basic and stable and knowing what I know I would buy it again.

At about $50, this table is an excellent value. You could pay that much for the hardware. Although new, it looks durable. I have a fully equipped wood shop and this will add to accuracy of my drill work. The size and weight are just right and it functions really well.

Bottom line up front: pretty dang good for the price. The table, fence, and stop block are made of high density MDF with an orange polyethylene edge band all the way around. The hold-downs appear to be made of ABS or Nylon (no glass fill), but they are fairly thick and are holding up just fine. The hardware is good enough for home gamers and furniture makers/woodworkers. If you're doing heavy work like welding and metal fab, this is not for that. If you need to do precision work with small parts there are a two things that require attention. 1. There are two .4" wide self-adhesive measuring tapes attached to the table surface next to each of the two fence tracks. The tape stands proud of the surface by .013"; if you need to drill a perpendicular hole and one edge of your part is resting on the tape, the hole will not be perpendicular. I peeled the tape off and cleaned off the adhesive with mineral spirits. I cannot see the need for those markings anyway. 2. The insert plate is a non-standard thickness of .365" which is 23/64" or 9.27 mm. The recess for the plate .378" which is 3/8" or 9.6 mm. This is another .013" discrepancy and can mess you up if you're doing precision work. The good news is making a replacement plate from 3/8" stock is easy. I made a few from polycarbonate. I attached this to my Delta drill press with four 2" hanger screws and some fender washers. A few strips of thin 3M Double-Stik tape on the cast iron table keep the Wen table from scooting around. The T tracks on the underside of the table are ideal for storing the clamps.

I have several Wen products and have always been happy with them. This drill press table is no different. It’s solid, well-built, and very adjustable. The surface is flat and just the right size — not too big, but plenty of room to work. It fit my Porter-Cable drill perfectly and made a big difference compared to the stock platform, which wasn’t great. The flat surface is especially important since I drill holes in pen blanks, and this one stays true. I like the built-in pocket feature, even though I haven’t used it yet. Another well-made, reliable product from Wen!

I ordered this from the U.S.A. as it is not sold in Canada & even with the exchange rate & shipping, it is a great deal. Wen packages this very well & it arrived in perfect condition & I could not build a drill press table with the same accessories & components for less money. Very pleased with the quality, function & price.

Meh. I might like it a lot more if it weren't for the shame of knowing I could make a better one if I had any time. It's probably great for the beginner woodworker or for someone like me that just doesn't have the time to make the ultimate drill press table. I think mine may have been a return as it is scratched on every surface. That aside, the hold-down clamps that come with it do not work for me. They're very cumbersome. They were very difficult to get the table secured to the original Ryobi cast iron table. I ended up using four clamps on the slots underneath - two in the front one on each side - to get it somewhat stabilized. The fifth clamp that comes with it.. I don't know if I'll use it as a work piece hold-down or not. Probably not. The fence on the one I received is slightly bowed which may be why it was returned the first time. It is off by about 1/32nd. For the stuff I do, that should never be an issue, but it is not unremarkable. Overall I'd say you get what you pay for. Sort of worth the 50 bucks but it'll probably be free to a good home once I make a better one... some day. Also, I removed the adhesive measuring tapes on either side of the top tracks, as they stuck up quite a bit and potentially cause rocking with some work pieces. Repurposed those adhesive strips to my workbench for measuring screws, bits, etc.
