Gamma2 Vittles Vault Home Stackable Airtight Pet Food Storage Container, 65 Pounds

Got this from Amazon deals and it's well worth what I paid. I have it outside in a covered area. So far, it's been out there for a couple of months and I've had no issues with bugs or anything else getting into the feed. I'm using it for chicken feed and it's in the coop to protect it from the elements. It easily holds 50 pounds of feed and keeps the chickens as well as any vermin out of it. Coup is open during the day so other critters regularly go visit but no one's managed to get into the feed. While it's does a great job keeping critters out, it feels a bit light weight and I'm not sure if it would stand up to the California sun. I think it'll do fine with rain, but I'm not sure how well it will do with sun so I keep it in the shade. Great product and would recommend it.

Love this! We have a big dog, so we get a BIG bag of dog food. 50lbs. And the entire bag fits in here! All the other containers we looked at seemed giant and took up so much space. But this is a wonderful, slim compact design. It seals well, so keeps out unwanted activity (bugs, or snacking puppies for example) My ONLY complaint is that it is a bit difficult to open. I understand it's a tight fit to keep it airtight, but the cover doesn't have the best grip\handle for opening. Just saying it might be difficult for an older person, a child (trying to accomplish their chores), or someone with arthritis or anything like this to get it open if kept tightly closed. Otherwise, it's practically perfect.

This lid is obnoxious! I own three other vittles vaults. I’ve been thoroughly satisfied with every one that I’ve purchased previously, but this one came with a different lid design. WHYYYYYY? It’s so obnoxious to operate one handed, and almost NEVER goes back on properly aligned, which means it isn’t sealed - so what’s the point? I have really like the sturdiness of these vaults - they last and stand up to heavy use without cracking, and the square shaped ones stack well. I use them throughout the house and garage which has mice. They hold our chicken feed, cat food and cat litter (happy that I can purchase bags of litter instead of generating more plastic every time I buy more), and mice and insects don’t get in. I purchased this vault because our dog food bag contained more food than our previous largest vault could hold, and the top side lid of the square design was difficult to deal with twice a day because we store their food in our coat closet just beneath the hanging coats. This new vault is the perfect size and shape, but THAT LID! UGH!! Please figure out how to use your standard lid with a vault this shape!

I think this food container is great, I have problems with my beagle breaking into anything and everything...she is able to jump up to the kitchen counter and steal food and she ended up figuring out how to break open her food bin so I needed something that would be impossible for her to get into. I like this bin because it has a twist top so I don't think she'll ever figure it out, she has pushed it around the kitchen floor but hasn't successfully knocked it over yet so I think it's fairly study at the base too. It also holds a lot of food, but takes up a bit more space than the old bin. I think it's great though so far!

Not sure if I got a slightly defective one but it is a little difficult to get the treading right when opening and closing the lid. To add to the difficulty there is not a lot of room to grip the lid to turn it (less then an inch deep to grip). The black plate on the front is not sealed on in any way so it moves around a lot when you are trying to open it but since its not glued in place it can be removed but then it is not as aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. It is also surprisingly not as stable as I have hoped. The bottom seems also curved to it rocks side to side rather than being flat and stable. I still kept it and it does serve its purpose I just have to keep it against the wall to help prevent the rocking, use both hands to open it and I am thinking about gluing the black panel in place myself. It fit a 30lb bag of food with plenty of room. Could probably fit a 40-50lb bag as well.

Love it! Holds 40 pounds of Diamonds Natural puppy food. Is a little difficult to fill, definitely a two person job. Other than that it works great. Fits much better in our pantry than our previous food storage container. Lid is easy to get on and off and seals tightly keeping the food fresh.

I have moved to the literally the middle of no where. I have 2 German Shepherds that I keep on a grain free diet. The only place I can find their food is almost 3 hours away so I buy 4 40lb bags at a time. Kind of hard to find room to store that in your home. The container I had held 50 lbs but I would still have 3 large bags to put somewhere. I ordered 2 of these and they are holding 3 bags. They look nice and they are stackable. Worth the money to me.

Ordered one of the 45 lb home/designer series version and sent back for exchange. Now I've decided to return for refund instead of exchange. Both containers had the same problem - the opening for the lid was out of round so the lid would not spin on/off without using 2 hands and fighting with it. Also ordered the 18 lb version of the same design, it seems to work correctly - I can open and close it with one hand. This (the 45 lb version) was intended to store our dry dog food, no one in our house will want to fight this lid on a daily basis. If it worked like the 18 lb version I would happily keep, now thinking about trying the outdoor collection instead.

Superbe container hermétique! Très pratique, solide, fonctionnel, ouverture très facile,il suffit de dévisser et revisser, je l'utilise pour les croquettes de mon chien, les sacs de 15kg passent largement (jusqu'à 18kg). Le prix est élevé mais il vaut la peine quand ont souffre de problème de dos comme moi et que l'on en a marre des container a couvercle traditionnel. Je trouve dommage que ce genre de produit ne soit pas répandu en France pourtant tres utile

muy funcional y discreta para tener el alimento de la mascota, ademas guarda muy bien el olor a croqueta y supongo que se conservan mejor. hay un producto que pedí en amazon, que me llegó mal envuelto, sucio y con piezas que no embonaban en su instalación, hice el reclamo y me consideraron mi opinión violenta, no entiendo entonces si en amazon no se pueden hacer reclamos.

We bought this for duck food, it held a 50lb bag with lots of room for more.

This is a beast and will easily hold large bag (Costco) of dog food.
