Tower T838005W Sensor Bin with Retainer Ring, Battery-Operated, 50L, White

Purchased on special offer so price was really good. Purchased the white but would say that is not as bright white a the image more of a creamy white. Easy to install batteries and a bit fiddly to insert the bin liner but will get used to it, opening and closing of the bin works like a treat, so good to have hands free use of a bin. Great size especially for a family, seems sturdy enough. Lets hope the battery life is good so don’t have to keep changing batteries time will tell. Looks great in my kitchen would recommend

When I read the mixed reviews about this bin, I was a bit unsure but I desperately needed an alternative than hanging a bin bag on my kitchen door. The dog was always getting stuff from it. I don't have much room for a bin in my kitchen so I needed something slimline but large enough for a family of 4 household with a cat and a dog. I have had this bin for a month now and I love it. I really like the fact that it is an automatic close system, so you don't have to touch the bin at all. It is really easy to operate and clean. It fits in a small space and I've turned it so it doesn't sense people walking past it. The sensor seems to be working well and I'm still using the original batteries (these are not included). The only awkward thing is trying to keep the lid open longer. It is possible if you make sure you stand in front of the sensor when emptying stuff into the bin. This will keep it open until you walk away. I would buy this bin again and it was a good price when I purchased it from Amazon. I just need to figure out a way of stopping my dog purposely using his nose to use the sensor to open it! Hahaha!

Very good bin. When you walk past it won’t randomly open you have to put your hand in front of the sensor for it to react. It shuts quickly after a few seconds . What I like is the fact that if the sensor stops working you can open it manually. Paid £36 which is a lot for me the most I ever pay is £10 for a kitchen bin I like the wide opening and the fact that you can hide the bag inside as it has a bag retainer I can’t stand seeing the binbag sticking out from the top of the bin . Regular 50l bags can fit I bought bags with the handles £1.67 Morrisons you don’t have to buy bags from Tower they would probably be very pricey

The censor doesn’t work I’ve been trying to get in touch with Tower none of the numbers are correct I can only assume the numbers are incorrect I’ve googled for more info there the same ( has the company gone out of business ? so having to use without the censor extremely dissatisfied with this product

Love it! - clean, tidy and works very well - I would def purchase again or recommend to others - its very easy to clean and change liner and batteries last for ages

works fine but is mostly fragile, a small cog which is plastic broke and without this the lid wont open and I can even buy this spare part as the manufacturer said they dont have it or are not sure if they'll even stock it. The sensor is completely useless now, I am trying to find someone to print this using a 3d printer now :/ Knowing this I wont be buying another, it is perfect while it works though.
