Knowledge Encyclopedia (Updated and Enlarged Edition): The World as You've Never Seen It Before

This is great, my 6 year old who I got it for is not really interested, but my 3 year old loves it and looks through it every night. Wide variety of subjects are covered and I enjoy looking through it as well. It covers human evolution and as we believe differently, I just skip that section.

If your only buying one of the DK knowledge encyclopaedias then get this one. If your planning on getting them all, don’t bother with this one. It’s the exact same pages you get in other books. A couple from animal, a couple from history etc. Doesn’t appear to have anything extra. The others obviously have a lot more detail but it’s a shame the pages in the knowledge book are exact copy’s taken from the other books.

I really like this book. It has wonderful illustrations accompanying ample information regarding all sorts of general knowledge. It is an excellent reference book to own for children but also for adults who wish to brush up on their knowledge. I think it would make a great gift since it is so well presented. I highly recommend.

I wanted an alternative to Google... to encourage reading skills but mainly to get grandchild off his tablet!Great book full of beautiful illustrations, informative, easy to read, lots of diversity in the subject matter. It's quite heavy, and you don't need to plug a battery in.

I expected this Encyclopaedia to be in line with the times, but it lists 'meat and dairy' as good sources of protein, which is an old-fashioned model as it turns out that a plant-based diet contains enough protein and is healthier. I'm afraid this edition is not what I had in mind for my grandchildren, who are forming their view of the world today. I gave it two stars because illustrations are very good.

I got this within two days, I ordered it for myself because I had a DK children's encyclopaedia as a child. I currently spend way too much time on my phone/social media so treated myself to nice illustrated educational book. The book is thick (about (2 inches) ! So there's so many topics from Space to Ancient Egypt and it's compacted with equal text and illustrations/diagrams. I love it, it's really easy to follow and it's clear too.
