A Great Replacement Board
I updated my son's Cyberpower PC to Windows 11. Everything installed successfully, including all the updates. Then after a restart the display wouldn't come on. That Mobo was an MSI B450 Tomahawk and the LED's said VGA problem. Given the circumstance I couldn't believe it suddenly died. I tried numerous times resetting the CMOS, reseating the graphics card, reseating memory, even checked the power supply, etc. I ordered this ASUS Prime B450M-A II as an economic replacement. It arrived in 2 days and was packaged well. The price dropped 2 days after I ordered. The box has labels Windows 11 ready and Ryzen 5000 Series ready. The board comes with backplate, 2 SATA cables, a M2 screw for mounting, a driver disc and the manual. This ASUS mobo is laid out differently than the MSI. I like it better. The graphics card slot is moved over one space with the M2 slot out in the open. With this Mobo you can use a M2 with a heatsink attached. The MSI M2 slot was directly under a dual-slot graphics card. I like the BIOS flashback feature (located on the back) with this board. The BIOS is laid out well, very intuitive and easy to use. I have built several computers over the years with ASUS my go-to brand. This Mobo is a great full featured B450 motherboard for AM4 series CPU's. The BIOS is upgraded to accept Ryzen 5000 series CPU's. Simply put you're getting a great AM4 motherboard for a great price.

Reliable, versatile and easy to install
The ASUS Prime B450M-A II was an excellent choice for my PC. Installation was straightforward, and its compatibility with various generations of Ryzen processors gives me plenty of flexibility for future upgrades. It supports up to 128GB of DDR4 memory and allows for stable overclocking, which improves performance without any hassle. It also features modern ports like USB 3.2, NVMe, and HDMI 2.0b, making it very complete for its Micro ATX size. BIOS Flashback and Aura Sync are very useful extras that make setup and customization easier. All in all, a reliable and well-balanced motherboard.

My next Nasa setup
The ASUS Prime B450M-A II Motherboard is like the MVP of budget builds – solid, reliable, and not here to break the bank. Compatible with Ryzen 5000, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Gen, it’s basically like the party host that invites everyone. Setup is easy, and it’s got all the essentials, so you won’t be digging through your couch cushions for extra ports. Plus, the BIOS is user-friendly, so even if you’re not a tech wizard, you won’t feel like you’re disarming a bomb. It supports up to 128GB of RAM, which is way more than I’ll ever use (but nice to have in case I decide to run NASA simulations from my room). All in all, it’s a solid choice that gets the job done without a lot of drama – and leaves you with some cash left over for, you know, actual games

Great Basic Motherboard
Great Basic Motherboard. I bought this along with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler and a jRadeon RX 580 8GB Graphics Card, 256Bit 2048SP GDDR5 AMD Video Card, just to run Windows 11. It did not disapoint. It also runs the latest version of Linux Mint on a seperate SSD as well. Paired it with 16 gb. of DDR4 RAM. Great value for the money. As far as Build quality, could be better, broke some pins trying to connect the front panel connector. Lots of usb ports. Memory Capacity is super, I am only using half. All in all, a great buy for a budget pc build.

Great Budget Friendly Motherboard
ASUS Prime B450M-A II – Great Budget-Friendly Motherboard I’ve been using the ASUS Prime B450M-A II in my Ryzen build, and it’s honestly been a really solid experience. I paired it with a Ryzen 5 5600 and 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and everything worked smoothly after a quick BIOS update (which was easy thanks to the BIOS FlashBack feature). **What I like:** * It supports Ryzen 1000 to 5000 series CPUs, which gives you a lot of flexibility whether you're upgrading or building new. * BIOS FlashBack is super helpful — I was able to update the BIOS without even having a CPU installed. * RAM compatibility has been great, and the system feels very stable overall. * It’s a clean, straightforward layout that’s easy to work with, especially for first-time builders. **A few things to keep in mind:** * It only has one M.2 slot, so if you plan on using multiple NVMe drives, just be aware of that. * No PCIe 4.0 support — but for most builds, especially at this price, PCIe 3.0 is more than enough. * There are only a couple of case fan headers, so you might want to use a splitter if you’re running more fans. **Overall:** This board is a great pick for a budget or mid-range AMD build. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and works well with a wide range of Ryzen processors. If you don’t need a bunch of extra features and just want something solid that works, the B450M-A II is a great choice.

Pretty easy to install and works very well
I ordered ASUS B450M-A because it's featuring USB3.2 Gen 2 and is in very reasonable cost. ASUS also provide a quite useful tool - Armoury Crate that will install drivers and monitor my system in graphic. However, The Micro-ATX does not work well with my AMD RX580 GPU. It runs fine but the thickness of the GPU with fan covers the PCIE_1 slots so that I have nothing left. I wish I thought about that before I made decision since I intend to install a PCIE to M.2 SSD card to add more SSD space,

I recently purchased the ASUS Prime B450M-A II AMD AM4 motherboard, and I'm impressed with its performance given its affordable price. The AMD AM4 socket ensures compatibility with a wide range of processors, offering flexibility for future upgrades. The motherboard's build quality is sturdy, and the layout is well-designed, making installation a breeze. The comprehensive set of features includes PCIe 3.0 support, M.2 slot for high-speed storage, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for faster data transfer. The BIOS interface is user-friendly, allowing easy customization and optimization of system settings. While it may lack some advanced features found in higher-end models, it provides a reliable foundation for budget gaming or productivity builds. Overall, the ASUS Prime B450M-A II offers excellent value for its price, making it a solid choice for users seeking a reliable and cost-effective motherboard for their AMD-based system.
