This blackstrap molasses has a rich smokey flavor. It's hard to describe. I wouldn't say it's delicious, but it's definitely tolerable. I bought it to reverse my gray hair, and I was shocked at the results. Usually I dye my hair every couple of months, and immediately afterwards, all of the gray hair pops right back up. Within just a couple of weeks of using this blackstrap molasses, the gray hairs didn't show back up. And I also noticed that some of the hairs were beginning to turn dark again in a very unusual pattern that I had never seen before. You could actually see some of their hairs turning dark. I didn't think it would work. But to my shock, it does work. I just colored my hair again and I've been on the blackstrap molasses for two months. It's drastically reduced my grey in just six weeks. I think part of it is because I was on a fantastic whole foods diet, and what I think happened is somehow the blackstrap molasses pushed it over the edge and darkened my hair. I would expect that within another couple of months, either I will have no gray hair or maybe just a few. But before I started this regimen, I was about 25 to 30 percent gray. I'm also taking chlorophyll, which is known as a powerful gray hair reversal. But I started the chlorophyll about a month after I started the blackstrap molasses. And it's very possible that it's the two in combination that is darkening my hair so much. There is definitely a 100% a natural way to reverse gray hair, but you have to be patient. Some people take six months to a year. Mine turned dark very quickly, and I understand that's very unusual. So I would say wait six months to one year if you're going to use it for that. Anyway, I'm halfway through the jar of this fabulous Golden Barrel Blackstrap Molasses. When I'm about three-quarters through, I'm going to buy another one and I will take it indefinitely. I love it!

If you like strong molasses, this is a must have.

I recently ordered the 32 oz. size jar of molasses and unfortunately, a small bit of it had busted out of the bottle. It was shipped with several other items I had ordered at the same time, and thankfully none of the other items was anything made out of cloth. It's a great product - tastes great in my tea, coffee and has helped reduce my heavy menstrual periods (my main reason for buying it). But this company really needs to start wrapping the jar to avoid it arriving busted open.

Product was NOT sealed and when I opened box there was molasses all over jug and in box! NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT AT ALL!!! What a mess and have to throw out due to safety concerns. What a waste of money.

This delicious molasses is one of my favorite healthy sweeteners and I waited with patience for its late delivery only for it to arrive leaking in the plastic. I am so upset. Yes, I was refunded but that's not the point. It's now considered waste when taping the the lid to the jar would have saved the product and me having to GO to the store for another brand. The product is excellent but the packing was careless which was why I gave 3 stars.
