Your cat will thank you.
This was recommended by our cat vet for our indoor cat who had started becoming aggressive towards some of the other animals in our house . She said indoor cats get bored and also want to hunt. I didn't believe it until it happened... we filled it with some of her food (use treats if that is motivating to your cat). And my son hid it in the room she likes to be in. Late that night she came running around the house meowing so proudly with it in her mouth showing us all. It was so crazy and pretty cute. She doesn't do it every time... sometimes she just hides and eats. But it helps keep her busy!

Amazing purchase
The "tail" came off pretty early and it does tend to collect hair because of the fabric. Those are my only negatives. I love that the opening is adjustable for different types of food or for newbies to figure it out. My cat absolutely loves this feeder! I have a couple of them and hide them throughout the house when I go out of town for a couple of days so that she has something to keep her fed & mentally stimulated while I am gone

You all were right.
It’s way too big and it’s HARD. I have a lot of rugs on my very hard floor but that doesn’t stop this sounding like a load of rocks. I have a big cat. He loves to play. He HATES this thing. If I so much as nudge it, he tears across the room and hides. He doesn’t even care that treats come out of it. He won’t touch it, he acts like it’s his ex-wife at a singles mixer. It’s big. It’s bigger than you think and it could and should be half the size. You can put like 40 treats in there. They don’t need that. It’s hard, which makes it loud and also just not fun to mess around with for soft kitty paws. It should be like a little sturdy silicone or something and half the size. Thank you for it being inexpensive but it’s still more than $0 for my cat to despise it. It’s a good idea in theory but I think it needs a redesign.

Great overall but take safety precautions
Bought this to slow down our fast eater/over fed cat and provide some entertainment (for the cat and us) It took time for the cat to warm up and know what to expect from this toy. Hunger is the motivator here. ***Please take the extra precaution to remove the elastic string closure at the back of the mouse. The cat almost swallowed it. Since there was little resistance, I was able to pull the elastic out of his throat. It’s a needless piece for the toy to function so just remove it for safety sake. We continue to use the toy/feeder without it, and it otherwise works well. Would be a 5 star if not for the hazard.

Fun cat toy
My 9 month old kitten really likes this toy. It's a good way to make him work for his treats. He loves to toss it around and flip it to try to get the treats out. It is on the bigger side compared to some of his other toys, but he's a big boy so he doesn't seem to mind. It can be a little annoying to fill, but I have a mini scoop from another toy that works pretty well. One thing I really don't like is the "tail" of the toy. I would recommend either removing it or tucking it in, especially if your cat is prone to chewing on strings.

Mornings are so much more peaceful!
It does take some time to convert the cats to using the mice rather than a food bowl. The process can't be rushed. At first I thought the cats weren't going to go for it, but eventually they got it. It definitely works best starting with the trainer mouse, and once the cat is using the trainer successfully, to switch to the real mouse feeder. I started with the opening all the way open, and gradually started closing the opening more and more until it was the narrowest it could go and still let food out. The cats have a blast and are less destructive. Originally, I wanted to try out feeder mice because my cats were yowling hours before I needed to get up in the morning. It was painful. Now they don't yowl. If I try to sleep late, they might quietly meow or nudge me, or jump over me - but it is so much more manageable than before. I put a couple mice out when I go to bed & then more in the morning. I don't hide the mice - they end up all over the place anyways. Personally I'd remove the ties from the design - one of my cats tries to eat them. They are easy enough to remove though.

Broke after a month of light use
My cat really liked the toy, unfortunately the slider broke after a month of use. It just fell apart into two pieces so now the opening is just wide open.

A cat's favorite toy
This is a favorite in the household. The toy comes in four "difficulty" levels in that the opening lets the cat receive treats at different rates. Cats new to the toy should be playing with it at the easiest version (ie: with the widest opening), but most cats will eventually feel engaged at the most difficult. My cat spends several minutes batting the toy around for his enrichment activity. So far, the sliding "stopper" works fine and has been consistently releasing treats at the intended rate. I use dry kibble to fill the treat container and discovered that the container's interior may be cleaned with a quick rinse. Allowing it to dry means air drying it without the outer fabric. The size of the toy is also just right and I've tucked in the drawstring tail for safety reasons. I would recommend this toy for cats who enjoy hunting and are also food-motivated.

Our 5-month Ragdoll kitten loves it. After we showed him treats can fall from it, he found his own way, how to get treats: turns it with his nose (whether on YouTube we saw cats use their paws for that). Our kitten actively uses it around a month. Before that, he was still distracted or scared with the sound that this toy (plastic part) and a similar toy from other brand (completely plastic) make on hard floors. Will buy for my mom's cat, and my friend's cat! It'd be better called "food Mousey", as I saw being called on "Billy speaks" channel, it'd be much easier to find searching

Only one of my cats is food motivated enough to get the treats out. Then again, maybe if my little porker would let go of it long enough for my other little fella to have a try, maybe he’d figure it out. Regardless, the one seems to enjoy it.
