Still breaks but the machine manufacturers make the dial so hard to turn needs to me made from steel not plastic . Would be worth the difference in price. I’m using players now because not wort it to keep buying the plastic knobs

I have approximately a 12 year old GE dryer and the timer knob cracked on the underside of the knob. I searched to find the correct one but my model number (212D1302) wasn't listed as being compatible with this part but it looked the same so I took a chance. The knob looks exactly like the original but the new one has a metal ring on the underside where the original cracked. It does not slide all the way down the timer shift like the original but it's close enough for me. I have had to "MacGyver" alot of small things on this dryer but I keep doing it because it still basically works well. This replacement knob will not work for the signal, wrinkle care, fabric care, or start options as it is too small but works well for the timer option. Overall I would recommend it because it works alot better than the pliers that I was using...and for $8 it was well worth it

I bought this knob to replace a broken one in November of 2021. Almost exactly 2 years later, the knob has developed a slight crack and began slipping on the timer shaft. That said, this isn't terrible performance (in my mind) for a relatively inexpensive part that gets used pretty often in our home. I'd prefer to buy the same knob again than hope for something better, and maybe I'll get another 2 years out of this and keep our cheap dryer plugging along.
