Love working in this since I can no longer crochet. The only thing I would change is the greens to be more distinguished. It was hard to see which color greens to use. Really have to follow the grid

I have seen many poor reviews on this product, so I wanted to jump in with a good one. I have not yet started hooking the project, but I can tell from simply unpacking that this is a quality product and was handled with care. The yarn is of good quality--far higher than any kit I have bought at craft stores. It is sorted by color--I did not have to sort it on my own. If I didn't already have a case that I place the yarn in, I could have left it in its wrappings and used the case it came in. The netting appears to be high quality and strong. The pattern printed on it is not clear for colors, but I'm used to not having a pattern printed at all. The chart that came separate is small print, but manageable. I can tell the hook that came with is rather cheaply made, but if someone wants to get into the craft long term, they should probably buy a sturdier hook of their own anyway, or already have one. It's not a problem for me, but worth noting. I am excited to begin this project, and I wanted to immediately come in with a good review to counter out the negatives that seem to be the most recent reviews. I will be buying from this seller again, no questions asked.

I love it, but the hook that was included is pretty flimsy and broke right away. I had to order better ones.

This layout is not for beginners. The grid is slightly off so you have to accommodate for that. Santa is turning out pretty cute but...some of the yarn wasn't labeled, some of the yarn lengths were either too short or to long, and I did not receive the hook tool.

Review update: Unless you are buying this item for the pattern, don't buy it. I bought a few of them to do up for gifts. I found that the kits were missing colors - but thankfully not every kit was missing the same one. For example, one was missing "J" (a goldish color), another was missing "S" (dark green) but had an extra "J" and so on. I stand by my previous review which is listed below with one exception. I no longer think it would be a good kit for the beginner. I think it would be very frustrating to have something so poorly made and might influence one to never latch hook again. Previous Review: Although this product is advertised as a rug, it isn't. It is more of a wall hanging. The yarn is just regular knitting yarn, not rug yarn which makes the finished item less rich and full than rug yarn would. Also, the binding and backing aren't well done. The back doesn't fit the front and is baggy. The binding covers some of the canvas that should be uncovered and doesn't cover parts that should be covered. It just isn't evenly done all the way around. Also, instructions say to follow the canvas above the printed instructions, but the printed canvas isn't at all what is shown. Follow the printed instructions!! This might be a good project for the very beginner, but is rather disappointing for a person with quite a bit of experience with latch hook.

It took a bit longer to arrive but I loved the product. I would totally recommend it.

An unusual design and an attractive Christmas themed pattern. Intricate and an enjoyable pastime with a nice end result.

I don't normally give 5 stars reviews but this little kit is indeed worth all 5 stars. The colours are vibrant. The quality of the yarn is great and really easy to work with. The paper pattern and printed pattern did alter slightly. There was 1 row each of horizontal and vertical that I had to remove from the paper pattern. There were a couple of spots where the rug wasn't quite sewn into the border correctly. Fixable though with a tiny dab of craft glue. Everything came clearly marked and the hooking tool worked beautifully. After completing the rug, I did give it a good vacuum with the dusting brush several times and carefully trimmed so that all the yarn was roughly the same size and to help define lines a little better. With good scissors, it was easy to do. The best part out of it all, is that I had so much fun doing this. I would definitely purchase another kit from this seller.

Very confusing, the pattern counts 60 and the canvass is 59, the color on the canvass is not matching up with the color on the paper. Im finally finished.
