I bought these to help with cutting the more intricate details when DIY fitting carpet. Absolutely brilliant for that purpose! These scissors are incredibly sharp with their stainless steel blades and cut through carpet so easily and effortlessly - from the tiniest snip through to long cuts. But, as shown by their video, they are also suitable for cutting other materials including metal (copper and aluminium - not steel!). They have a lock switch which can be released with slight pressure on the handles. Then the lock switch gives you a choice 2 options for 'range' - i.e how much the handles are allowed to part and how much blade can be used. The small range is great for comfort if you don't need to use the whole of the blades - making little snips at a time. The big range is full on, using the whole of the blades for long cuts, opening up the handles to the full range. The cutting ability is listed on the instructions and also here in the "product description", so I won't list them here - but it's pretty impressive. There's also a wire cutter built in for non-hardened wires of aluminium or copper - nice touch. The scissors are really easy to use - being so very sharp and with great leverage from the comfortable handles. As stated, there is a recess near the hinge of the blades to make it easier when turning corners whilst cutting. The angle of the handles is just right and means that the handles don't get in the way whilst cutting, like ordinary scissors. The instructions and info are written in both English and German. They are manufactured in Taiwan. Great quality that I can't fault. Very impressed with these scissors!

I bought these to cut a roll of vinyl flooring for my new home. Excellent quality. They cut really well with sharp crisp cuts. Made cutting the vinyl easy. They have also cut through some tough plastic (a shower screen seal) with ease. Comfortable in my hand and as a lefty I had no problems using them. The blades are sharp and have a safety clip in the middle of the shear. They were a decent price too. I recommend for any tool kit and DIYer.

These are totally amazing!! I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, but because of the angle of these I can hold them and cut all sorts without pain, and very easily. They are so sharp and tough too. I initially needed them to cut up som Astroturf for my patio/dogs area. But have used them for all sorts since. So good I’m going to buy a second pair for the gardening, as they’re better than my secateurs!! Highly recoment, esp. if like me you have joint problems in your hands.
