These are always awesome, wish they would make a large chocolate not just a large bag.

I love Riesen chocolate, BUT my purchase was terrible. I don’t know how old this stuff was, but is passed “fresh” years ago. The outside chocolate layer, which ordinarily make this product so good, had a crumbly texture and was covered in a dirty white crust. This product was either very old, or had been subjected to high temperature extremes. I was HUGELY DISAPPOINTED.

You get the best of both worlds with these. Chocolate and caramel, oh so good. If you are a chocolate and caramel kinda person these are definitely a go to. So good but can't stop at one . So grab 2!

I believew Riesen caramel choclates are absolutely yummy. They arrived on the date as promised.

Candy is light colored, not the typical dark that it is suppose to be. I looked it up and learned it is called sugar bloom or fat bloom. It's due to either moisture or unusual warming. I'm thinking that the box being left on the 90 degree, sunny porch by the delivery driver caused it. Or possibly a hot delivery vehicle. Or a combination of both. It's safe to eat, but sugar bloom causes loss of flavor. So if you were looking forward to the awesome dark chocolate favor of Riesen, it's a big disappointment. Tastes like a weak milk chocolate. I can see why some reviews think its spoiled. It's hard to settle for a 30 oz. bag of weak chocolate caramels. Also hard to throw out 20 bucks worth of something you were looking forward too. Maybe I'll just send it back to protest.
